Job Summary

•    We are seeking a skilled SAP-BTP Data Architect to design, implement, and optimize data architecture solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform. This role will be responsible for architecting scalable data solutions, ensuring data integration across enterprise systems, and driving the adoption of modern data architecture patterns within our organization. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture Design & Implementation
•    Design and architect end-to-end data solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
•    Develop data architecture blueprints, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps
•    Create data models, data flows, and integration patterns for complex business requirements
•    Ensure scalability, performance, and security of data architecture solutions
•    Define data governance frameworks and data quality standards
SAP BTP Platform Expertise
•    Architect solutions using SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud, and SAP Integration Suite
•    Design and implement data integration patterns using SAP BTP services
•    Leverage SAP Analytics Cloud for advanced analytics and reporting architectures
•    Implement event-driven architectures using SAP Event Mesh and other BTP services
•    Optimize data storage and processing using SAP HANA Cloud capabilities
Enterprise Data Integration
•    Design and implement data integration solutions connecting SAP and non-SAP systems
•    Architect real-time and batch data processing pipelines
•    Ensure seamless data flow across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments
•    Implement API-first data architecture using SAP API Management
•    Design data lake and data warehouse solutions on SAP BTP
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
•    Provide technical guidance to development teams and junior architects
•    Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
•    Work with infrastructure teams to ensure optimal platform configuration
•    Conduct architecture reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards
•    Mentor team members on SAP BTP technologies and best practices

Solution Optimization & Innovation
•    Continuously optimize existing data architecture for performance and cost-effectiveness
•    Research and evaluate emerging SAP BTP capabilities and services
•    Drive adoption of modern data architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, etc.)
•    Implement monitoring and observability solutions for data pipelines
•    Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity for data solutions
Data Architecture & Engineering
•    Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques (dimensional, normalized, data vault)
•    Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline design
•    Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other data processing languages
•    Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management
•    Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Integration & APIs
•    REST/SOAP API design and implementation
•    Message queuing and event-driven architecture patterns
•    Microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
•    Experience with enterprise service bus (ESB) and integration patterns

Preferred Qualifications
•    SAP BTP certification (SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP BTP)
•    Additional SAP certifications (HANA, Integration, Analytics Cloud)
•    Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
•    Knowledge of machine learning and AI capabilities on SAP BTP

•    Get involved and help drive the overall SAP-BTP enablement including architectural and process recommendations across the portfolio
•    Proactively advice the management team on the emerging technology transformation trends that are most relevant to the company’s goals and evolving needs
•    High degree of proficiency in hands-on low-level design, coding, automation and troubleshooting
•    API, Microservices design expertise. Build reusable components / API’s when designing any foundational data project
•    Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
•    Identify, design and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability etc
•    Work with stakeholders including the executive, product, data and design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
•    Support transformation agenda, business operating models, standards, finance risk controls and compliance with regulations
•    Engage with various business and technology stakeholders, participate in agile squad’s to recommend and finalise architecture design. Manage key stakeholders and senior management for architecture decisions and inputs
•    Experience in establishing effective partnerships across teams and influence senior management, peers and subordinates
•    Working with business clients to understand their needs and to implement the cloud strategies designed to meet those needs.

•    Ensuring Security while on-boarding apps into Cloud
•    Design and architect comprehensive SAP solutions that integrate with Hadoop and other big data technologies.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into Solution Intent documentation.
•    Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, technical documentation, and best practices for SAP and big data integrations.
•    Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
•    Stay updated with the latest advancements in SAP, Hadoop, and big data technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
•    Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
Advanced Technical Experience
•    Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics on SAP HANA
•    Knowledge of SAP HANA Graph, Text Analytics, and Spatial processing
•    Experience with SAP HANA streaming analytics and real-time processing
•    Familiarity with big data technologies and data lake architectures
