Title: DevOps Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
• Work closely with Enterprise Architects, Engineering Analyst, Development team, PSS and other interface teams and ensure all deployments are automated using DevOps Tools including interface system channels.
• Ensure automated deployment of applications and components, starting from development to production release.
• Drive the execution of projects in CEE, leading Delivery team.
• Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
• Train and mentor, the newer/junior team members to come up the curve by having DevOps tools training and conducting knowledge sharing sessions.
• Strategic role to provide overall technical leadership and direction encouraging innovation and improvement in DevOps areas and process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
• Align to hive strategy and roadmap
• Adopt the bank’s technology strategy and drive within our programs/ projects.
• Independently drive CCIB strategy on Design, API, Microservices, Cloud Adoption, Transformation led initiatives.
• Guide new ideas through the ideation and design process to ensure they are sufficiently defined to address and meet strategic goals.
• Build strong relationship with production support teams and SRE and proactively manage production service ticket and issues.
Business
• Manage good relationship with our stakeholders in Development, PSS, Technology Services and Architecture teams.
• Take part in Technology evaluation around Products / Services on new initiatives
Processes
• Adhere to ADO and Bank defined principles and guidelines on all Program delivery.
• Compliance on ICS guidelines, Security and Data protection
• Compliant to SDF/SIA process and drive bank towards automating process areas removing redundancies.
• Compliant SCB Group code of conduct and standards
• Compliance on CCIB Design and architecture guidelines , Data governance and policies
People & Talent
• Train, retain and motivate new joiners in your team.
• Recognize talent and identify the training/coaching areas for employees.
• Identify top talent, succession planning, key person dependency/risk and constantly work to address them with the appropriate plans.
Risk Management
• Anticipate and handle all the delivery challenges and risks and adhere to Group compliance requirements based on business criticality levels.
• Identify risk in production releases and raise it in PWG forum on time.
• Manage the team and raise upfront on the people onboarding requirements as early as possible.
Governance
• Must be aware of the Group’s regulatory framework and is expected to adhere based on the role.
• Must understand the oversight and controls related to Business Unit, Job Function and deliver.

Skills and Experience
• 13+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering with experience of leading the team.
• Expert knowledge in tools like - Ansible, PowerShell and Puppet
• Expert in hosting and managing applications in OCP and Kubernetes platforms.
• Expert in application certificate management.
• Expert in configuring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, Elastic Search and Kibana.
• Experience in Java / Spring Boot, Kafka, REST, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra
• Exceptional leadership capabilities and experience management large multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong Communication and Influencing skills.
• Experience in rolling out applications to production.
• Expertise in understanding application architecture and propose viable deployment automation.
• Experience in application management on defining project objectives, resource planning, allocation, and support for projects.
• Experience in handling the issues relating to application resource utilization.
• Good experience in application support & handling the critical Production issue with PSS support team.
• Maintaining good technical knowledge to provide direction to the development process.
• Manage cost and quality improvement activities by implementing new effective processes.
• Good knowledge in the application release Management and code promotion to higher environment using DevOps tools.
