Job Summary

The Director, FCSO Screening Product Management supports the ED, Head of FCSO Screening Products in the strategic management, development, implementation, enhancement and ongoing maintenance of the Bank's Screening Products and associated capabilities with a specific focus on List Management.

The primary focus of the role is to drive effective List product management practices across the Screening Product portfolio, ensuring that products remain fit for purpose, regulatory compliant, operationally efficient and aligned to the Bank's financial crime risk management objectives. This includes ownership of List product roadmaps, prioritisation of enhancements, management of product backlogs, oversight of defect remediation, implementation of new capabilities and establishment of feedback loops to continuously improve product performance and outcomes.

The role holder partners closely with Operations, Technology, Data and Financial Crime stakeholders to identify opportunities to strengthen screening controls, improve screening effectiveness and support the safe introduction of new List products. A key objective of the role is to improve the earlier identification of financial crime risk through enhanced List Management capabilities, improved data utilisation, more effective alert generation and optimisation of Screening processes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Drive the strategic development and evolution of the Screening Product portfolio, ensuring products remain effective, scalable, compliant and aligned to the Bank's financial crime risk management objectives. 
•    Define and execute product roadmaps that enhance screening capabilities, accelerate the implementation of regulatory and sanctions requirements, and support the introduction of new products, customer segments, geographies and payment flows. 
•    Champion a product-led approach to continuous improvement through performance monitoring, user feedback, outcome analysis and data-driven prioritisation of enhancements, fixes and optimisation initiatives. 
•    Drive improvements that enable earlier identification of financial crime risk by enhancing screening logic, data quality, alert quality and overall risk-detection effectiveness while reducing false positives and unnecessary operational effort. 
•    Maintain awareness of emerging financial crime threats, regulatory developments, industry best practices and technological advancements to identify opportunities to strengthen screening products and improve risk outcomes across the Bank.

Business
•    Own and govern the Screening Product portfolio, ensuring capabilities, configurations, controls and supporting documentation remain effective, compliant and aligned to business and regulatory requirements.
•    Lead the assessment, prioritisation and delivery of product enhancements, new screening use cases, onboarding initiatives and change requests, ensuring solutions support effective financial crime risk management across products, channels, customer segments and geographies.
•    Establish and maintain robust product governance, including management of regulatory commitments, audit actions, operational risk obligations, procedures, standards and control frameworks relevant to Screening Products.
•    Monitor product performance and outcomes through defined metrics, stakeholder engagement and operational feedback loops, driving continual improvements to screening effectiveness, alert quality, data quality and user experience.
•    Act as a subject matter expert on Screening Products, translating emerging financial crime threats, regulatory developments and industry best practices into product enhancements that improve risk detection, accelerate regulatory responsiveness and reduce unnecessary operational effort.

Leadership and Management 
•    Champion a product-led culture across the Screening Product portfolio, ensuring focus remains on improving risk detection outcomes, regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness. 
•    Lead and influence stakeholders across Business, Operations, Technology and CFCC to deliver product enhancements, strategic change initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities. 
•    Drive a data-driven approach to product management, leveraging performance metrics, user feedback and operational insights to enhance screening effectiveness, reduce false positives and enable earlier identification of financial crime risk.

Knowledge Development and Information Management
•    Develop and maintain meaningful product and risk MI, KPIs and performance metrics to measure Screening Product effectiveness, identify trends and support data-driven decision making. 
•    Analyse product performance, stakeholder feedback and operational outcomes to identify opportunities for optimisation, enhancement and improved risk detection. 
•    Promote effective knowledge sharing and documentation of product changes, lessons learned, industry developments and regulatory expectations to support continuous improvement across the Screening Product portfolio.

Stakeholders Relations
•    Build and maintain strong partnerships across Operations, Technology, Data and CFCC stakeholders to ensure Screening Product priorities, enhancements and outcomes remain aligned to business needs, regulatory expectations and financial crime risk objectives. 
•    Represent the Screening Product function in engagements with regulators, industry forums, peer institutions and strategic vendors, leveraging external insights and best practices to inform product strategy and drive continuous improvement.

Process
•    Establish and maintain robust product governance processes covering the prioritisation, design, testing, implementation and ongoing maintenance of Screening Products, ensuring solutions remain effective, compliant and fit for purpose.
•    Define and oversee product lifecycle management standards, including change management, defect remediation, performance monitoring, feedback loops and continuous improvement activities across the Screening Product portfolio.
•    Ensure product controls, configurations, supporting documentation and operating procedures are maintained in line with regulatory requirements, Group standards and financial crime risk management objectives.

People & Talent
•    Foster a high-performance, product-led culture that encourages innovation, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement across the Screening Product function.
•    Develop team capabilities in product management, screening technologies, data-driven decision making and financial crime risk management to support evolving business and regulatory requirements.
•    Provide clear leadership, coaching and direction to ensure roles, responsibilities and priorities are well understood, enabling effective delivery of product outcomes and strategic objectives.

Risk Management
•    Own and oversee financial crime risks associated with Screening Products, ensuring capabilities, configurations and controls remain effective in identifying sanctions, AML and other financial crime risks across customers, transactions and products
•    Drive continuous optimisation of screening effectiveness through analysis of risk outcomes, alert quality, data quality and system performance, improving risk detection while reducing false positives and operational inefficiencies.
•    Assess and manage risks arising from new products, customer segments, payment flows, geographies and regulatory requirements, ensuring appropriate screening controls are designed and implemented.
•    Maintain oversight of key screening data, watchlists, regulatory content and product configurations to ensure screening solutions remain current, accurate and aligned to evolving risk and regulatory expectations.
•    Strengthen the operational resilience of Screening Products through effective risk management, control monitoring, issue remediation, incident management and governance processes, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of material risks and control weaknesses.

Governance
•    Establish and maintain effective governance over the Screening Product portfolio, ensuring clear accountability, oversight and reporting of product strategy, performance, risks, issues and change initiatives.
•    Oversee the identification, tracking, escalation and remediation of product, operational and financial crime risk issues, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings, regulatory actions, incidents and control weaknesses.
•    Drive a culture of continuous improvement by capturing, communicating and embedding lessons learned from audits, assurance reviews, incidents, regulatory feedback and product performance reviews into future product enhancements and control design.

Qualifications

Education
•    Graduate / basic qualifications in banking/ finance/ audit/ systems
Training
•    Minimum 8 years of experience in Banking and out of which 4 years in managerial capacity leading both direct and in-direct teams across global/regional footprints;
•    Solid record of accomplishment of running effective and efficient surveillance process, product management in FCC highly desirable;
•    Transaction Processing background in one or multiple areas (e.g.., Payments, Collections, Trade Products, Security Services, Financial Markets, Clearing Networks like SWIFT, CHAPS, CHIPS, RTGS etc) would be an added advantage
Certifications
•    ACAMS or equivalent preferred but not necessary
