Job Summary

  • Be a part of Markets Corporate Sales Team at Standard Chartered Bank with direct coverage responsibility for Large & Middle Market corporates in the South markets in India with the objective of meeting Client Income targets and developing SCB as a bank of choice for promoters, CFOs and treasury heads for their hedging and risk management requirements. 
  • Key responsibilities include independent coverage of a portfolio of Large & Middle Market Clients in India; with the potential to act as a team lead.
  • The role shall entail constant engagement with clients on Foreign Exchange, Money Markets, Rates and Other derivatives to Corporate clients; covering areas such as Risk management, Regulatory aspects, Economic and Macro factors and trade / nontrade / episodic transactions.
  • The role shall require the salesperson to have sound knowledge of all hedging solutions using options & derivatives permitted under extant regulatory guidelines.
  • To interact with all stakeholders across Coverage, Banking, Trading, Credit, Risk, Product, Structuring, Transaction Banking/ TBFX in order to ensure strong client coverage and drive collaboration.
     

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Maintain awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role
  • Involvement with coverage teams on accounts and engagement with stake holders where applicable to promote business.
  • Manage, maintain and improve dialogue across assigned existing accounts and work on growing new names.

Business

  • Direct coverage of a portfolio of Large & Middle Market Clients across FX, Money Markets, Rates and Other derivatives and options.
  • Client engagement on all aspects to do with markets such as Risk management, Regulatory changes, Economic and Macro factors, Market information and Episodic transactions etc.
  • Identify new business opportunities and taking them to closure thereby adding new streams of revenues for the business
  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates.

Processes

  • Ensure adherence in letter and spirit to all internal and external regulations, and established operations, credit, processes etc
  • Bound by Code of Conduct of the Bank.

  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from peers and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
