Job Summary
15+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, and project management, predominantly in the banking and financial services industry. Adept in leading enterprise-scale software development, data quality frameworks, payment systems, and production support operations. Expertise in Oracle, Kafka, and modern DevOps tools. Skilled in stakeholder communication, cross-functional leadership, and Agile/SDLC delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate delivery excellence, minimising delivery risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile development.
- Conduct continuous development and/or integration & testing.
- Responsible for managing the design & development for small to medium projects/ contributing to large complex projects.
- Expected to continue to build upon domain knowledge and technical/ proprietary skills to reach levels of industry acknowledgement.
- Works as a guide and independently sets directions for medium sized projects of high complexity.
- Requires sound technical knowledge combined with reasonable understanding of business issues. Has the ability to correlate technical issues with business environment.
- Advanced project and people management skills are required.
- Driving quality initiatives like introduction of automated tools for improving productivity, reducing human errors, etc
- Contributing towards product evolvement and knowledge management
- Contributing to process improvement and ensure process compliance
- Track and monitor work so as to ensure delivery of team output in line with schedule and quality norms
- Ensuring proper resource management such as recruitment, adequate training, career moulding
Skills and Experience
Strong communicator with a proven ability to engage stakeholders across technical and business teams.
- Demonstrated leadership, people management, and mentoring capabilities.
- Proficient in source code maintenance, QA, change management, and audit readiness.
- Skilled in Agile/SDLC, reporting tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Deep domain knowledge in banking systems, compliance, and digital transformation.
- Developed project budgets, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor performance and demand metric
- Knowledge in Integration technologies – MQ, Kafka, Solace
- Knowledge / Experience in Container platform and Cloud technologies
- Knowledge in DevOps & SRE
- Experiences with relational databases and NOSQL databases
- Knowledge & Experience in practising Agile & Lean framework
- Knowledge & Experience in the API & Microservices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent degree
