Strategy* Develop the strategy for the team that fits in with the overall reporting landscape in line with regulatory and internal reporting requirements for IRRBB. Key objectives of the strategy are to implement robust reporting processes and controls, supported by enhancements to subject matter expertise and knowledge capabilities. Leverage investment in the new reporting platform as well as other data remediation and technology initiatives to drive efficiencies and improve outcomes for regulatory and internal reporting, in terms of accuracy, timeliness and Analytics / insights.

Business* Responsible for delivering IRRBB reporting to Group and regional / country stakeholders; proven experience for a large multi-national bank similar in scale and complexity as that of SCB would be preferred. Understanding of Bank’s businesses and banking products and how they impact IRRBB metrics, reporting and associated controls. Expertise in relation to IRRBB metrics and associated calculations (including regulatory requirements) and ability to co-relate movement in the Balance Sheet, Behavioural assumptions, shock sizes etc. to IRRBB metrics.

Expertise in systems and processes used to generate IRRBB metrics, particularly with experience in change projects focused on process enhancements.Collaborate with various teams to resolve IRRBB issues; transition changes into BAU efficiently that is aligned with the regulatory and bank’s technology objectives.

People & Talent* Build, lead, coach and develop team of highly skilled individuals through example to build the appropriate culture and values, focussing on engagement and retention. Set appropriate objectives for the team and provide regular feedback with regards to those objectives and ensure the team benefits from ongoing training and development in relation to their roles. Responsibility to review team structure in relation to the relevant objectives.

Risk Management* Candidate needs to be able to articulate IRRBB metrics and drive the discussion with Senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury and Business to meet the requirements. Provide Consultation / Support in dealing with business queries relating to IRRBB metrics – internal and external regulatory reports.

Governance

  • Monitor and ensure that appropriate Change governance is followed across all transformation initiatives.  Represent the function at the governance forums in place for tracking change initiatives and influence decisions in respect of the change backlog, prioritisation, choice of technology tools and the operating model. 

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • GPL / GPMs within the Capital, Liquidity, FTP, IRRBB, and Country Regulatory Reporting function
  • Group Regulatory Reporting – Head and Reporting Leads 
  • Treasury Risk – Functional Heads and Leads
  • Liquidity / IRRBB Change Management - Head and Leads across Liquidity and IRRBB Change
  • Technology – Head and respective Leads
  • Country Regulatory Reporting – CFO, Financial Controller and Country Lead

Qualification

Finance Professionals (Qualified Chartered Accountant) or MBA (Finance) or Masters in Finance / Accountancy / Economics or affiliated subjects from a reputed institution.

Certifications like FRM, PRM or CFA will be an added advantage.

Over 14 years of relevant operations / regulatory reporting experience and 5+ years of IRRBB reporting experience in a bank similar in scale and complexity as that of SCB

Candidate must be familiar with the use of SQL to interrogate and extract the data for analysis.

Understanding of Moody's reporting platforms is an advantage. SAS and/or Python knowledge is an added benefit.

Candidate must be familiar with regulatory requirements for data management - BCBS 239 and PRA requirements

Strong knowledge of Liquidity regulations and metrics; Proficient in analytics to drive deep understanding of Liquidity; Collaboration mindset; able to deliver solutions to improve BAU.
