Job Summary
Data Analyst is responsible for assisting Director CDO-CFCR-Enablement Data Product to achieve department goals. Analyst will work closely with FCCA teams and support country sensitive data mining needs and statistical analysis using various data and analytics methodologies. Analyst is responsible to complete assigned work in the timely manner, collaborate and maintain effective communication within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports FCC in relation to a range of data analysis and MI reporting requirements by employing advanced data mining, visualization, and analytical support.
- Serves as an architect, overseeing and owning end-to-end solutions including delivery and support.
- Delivers MI solutions using low-code ETL frameworks (Dataiku), SharePoint, Oracle PL/SQL, advanced Python automations, Tableau for visualization, all in compliance with the Bank’s policies.
- Provides wide range of transaction surveillance analytics, issue remediation tasks, MI reporting, process optimization, improvement, automations (including packaging and deployment).
- Addresses ad-hoc requests for FCC Europe & Americas.
- Supports FCCA Risk Assessment with Inherent Risk analysis and data quality checks.
- Supports FCCA data mining needs using various data and analytics methodologies.
- Prepares documentation evidence in line with group policy standards and meets internal audit requirements on the handling processes / projects.
- Works as a backup to critical resources as per Business continuity plan policies and recommendations.

Key stakeholders
- Establish relationships with stakeholders within the Controls Operations Group as well as relevant stakeholders within the FCC Investigations, Intelligence, Surveillance and Governance Units.
Skills and Experience

- SQL and Python (additional scripting/statistical programming languages are welcome)
- Big Data architecture and knowledge of PySpark
- Applied experience with machine learning on large data sets
- Statistical, time-series, and predictive modelling, as well as NLP, machine learning, forecasting and optimization
- Statistical data analysis techniques such as multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling methods
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study, from an accredited institution, or equivalent qualification.
- Advanced degree will be viewed positively.
- 6-7 years of experience in a large multinational financial institution, consulting firm or law firm
- 5+ years of experience in programming (Python, SQL), analytics and data.
- Hands on experience with statistical analysis.
- Abilities to translate business questions into analytical solutions (pipelines/dashboard for analytics and Machine Learning models/algorithms) and to select the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem.
- Ability to manage and own projects.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the key products or services provided by the business / function, and the processes and controls that underpin them.
- Demonstrates an understanding of compliance regulations, knowledge of global procedures and policies, including a core understanding in AML, Sanctions, CDD or Anti Bribery.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the SAR process.
- Has the ability to interpret complex information and determine the research and analysis required to extract facts that can be objectively supported. As indicated above, an understanding of the way the MI being generated will be leveraged is necessary to ensure that deliverables are being executed in a manner that is fit for purpose.
