Job Summary
Strategy
• Be able to deliver solutions using industry standard practices & documentation such as TSD & other design specifications.
• Must be open to work on cross technology (Microsoft, Java etc) and be able to proactively identify potential challenges from a technology standpoint & highlight to respective working groups for appropriate action.
• Responsible for the complete delivery process of providing technology solutions including implementation of solutions provided from any third parties.
• As an implementor of Functional specification and / or Technology designs this person is expected to be able to understand the design patterns & deliver solutions as expected in the specifications.
• Working hand in hand with all project stakeholders to make right decisions on design implementation while delivering the solutions.
• Play key role in implementation technology specification document while actively working to resolve any design, technical constraints along the course of delivery.
• Engage and manage technical teams of external vendors, where required.
• Work with Quality testing teams in producing effective test cases & the solution is tested every time it is delivered into production.
• Proactively identify critical technical challenges in the project & review them in PWG & track them for closur

• Lead through example, building an appropriate (team) culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations with team and stakeholders, and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
• Ensure suitably skilled and qualified for their roles and have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
Risk Management
• Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role. Effectively and collaboratively identify, assess, mitigate, monitor and report risk and compliance matters.
• Ensure applications are in compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, regulations and standards. Include all necessary internal, legal and regulatory controls in the design of products.
• Identify, assess and monitor the risk to the business of technology obsolescence. Ensure these are discussed, documented, tracked in PWG for a timely closure.
• Ensure that any internal and external audit issues are addressed as planned with appropriate priority.
Governance
• Ensure timesheets and status reports are submitted on time, to the requisite quality.
• Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees form part of the culture.
• Ensure compliance with all governance frameworks where there are direct touch points with them or any subsequent downstream influence from the ITO Team, including the Data Management Framework.
• Ensure timely escalation of issues to respective PWG.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
• Serve as a Director of the Board
• Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.
