Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Needs to and be aware of the understand the Group’s Strategy (looking at the big picture) and able to imbibe that into the work that is being delivered.
Business

Processes
• Journal processing, MI report generation.
• Responsible for raising and settlement of Inter-company recharges.
• Generation of invoices for GBS & SODA for all recharges like TPS, MDS, Shares, Opex etc
• Accruals generated for the outstanding recharges relating to Cost / Revenue/ GBS.
• Settlements to be initiated on real time basis to lower the ageing on the outstanding.
• Ensuring All ABDO are mapped into the correct preparer and approver. Unmapped ABDO to be escalated in the correct forums like FORTM and country finance escalation process.
• All ABDO is substantiated following all audit assertions in the system validating the supporting documents with adequate reconciliation leaving only the open items with correct ageing and action
• Follow up with the approver for approving the substantiation in FCS system
• Timely receipting for all SODA settlement for countries managed by R2R
• Receipting through AR billing for GBS IN, KL and PL Hubs.
• Blank Affiliate clearance for all entities for Inter-Company Group accounts
• TP/GL recon for Inter-company accounts
• Work towards eliminating any Inter-company breaks across all control accounts.

• Strong understanding of financial industry, specifically banking products and services
• In-depth knowledge of the e2e book close process in a large international Bank and relevant key measures that drives effectiveness of these processes
• Effective communication skills, including presenting and influencing senior management.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Solid people and project management skills.
Risk Management
• Understand the Group Accounting Policy and the FCSR Standard and Policy in a way that he/she is able to identify any control lapses that has an element of risk and highlighting/escalating as appropriate

• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
