JOB SUMMARY
- The candidate will need to have a good understanding of control requirements, preparation of test scripts, and the ability to design & test controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand the control objectives and test procedures
• Operational effectiveness testing of Management Review Controls that have been designed to meet requirements of UK Audit Corporate Governance code
• Accurate sampling as per the Financial Reporting Controls Framework
• Collation and gathering of evidence
• Enquiry into evidence gathered to assess whether control is operating as designed
• Maintain a register of control testing outcomes and control gaps
• Presentation of control testing results to Global Process Managers
• Monitoring and reporting risks to governance committees
• Manage and resolve outputs arising from the QA review of the controls testing review
• Use of Standard Chartered internal systems – to
• Upload results of Operational Effectiveness Testing
• Record risks and issues
• Support management attestation to effectiveness of controls
• Test IT Application controls – IPE, SoD, System configuration, interface and calculations etc…ensuring UKACG compliance
Business
• Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders on related projects, collaborating closely.
• Work closely with businesses and functions impacted by relevant projects to solve issues and spot opportunities as they arise.
People and Talent
• Be an example for others to follow with regard to implementation of control testing
• Maintain a positive attitude with the capability to work under pressure and deliver on multiple deadlines.
• Foster good relationships with the TTO function / GPL teams across the bank
Risk Management

• Identify project and business risks, escalating to the Senior Management
Governance
• Adhere to SCB Programme Management good practice and governance.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
• Compliance with UK Companies Act and UK Corporate Governance requirements relating to internal controls

Qualification
Degree qualified ideally, with 4+ years in banking, specifically experience in working on large multi-dimensional programmes/ projects across business and functions.
