Job Summary

The Cost Optimisation Manager is required to join the Vendor & Cost Optimisation COO team. The team is predominantly responsible for driving the cost optimisation and transformation programme under the FFG programme. This role is expected to compute the cost saves, generate report and publish in appropriate portal.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Contribute towards identifying cost saves, track and report business efficiencies/cost optimisations across T&A verticals.
•    Set appropriate tone and expectations from peers and work in collaboration with the management team, finance and other internal partners as required.
•    Assist teams where required for cost validation and other budget related requirements.

Business
•    Create standardized monthly executive level packs & share with respective stakeholders.
•    Generate monthly finops reports for AWS & Azure consumptions.
•    Liaise with the infra cost optimisation SPOCs and estimate the monthly saves.
•    Support with ad hoc data analysis and reporting.
•    Schedule meeting with finance and validate computed saves. Book saves in the appropriate portal.

Processes
•    Create and enforce data quality reporting standards, principles, and best practices to ensure consistency in the monthly reporting.

People & Talent 
•    The role will report to Head-vendor & cost optimisation.
•    Act as a thought leader with strong inclination towards continuous learning.
•    Innovate new ideas to simplify the current ASIS processes and improve productivity.
•    Build a culture for reporting standards and be an influencer to others

Risk Management
•    Responsible for proactively seeking regular assurance that function is performing to an acceptable risk and control standards.
•    Responsible to act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and, if necessary, escalated through the relevant committees. 
•    Responsible to balance business performance delivery and cost management with risk and control matters to ensure that it does not materially threaten the Group, remaining within risk appetite.
•    Responsible to work in collaboration with risk and control teams.

Governance 
•    Ensure compliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements. 
•    Ensure compliance with all salient SCB data governance frameworks where there are direct touchpoints with them or any subsequent downstream. 

Regulatory & Business Conduct 
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications

•    Degree in finance or equivalent with 15 or more years of total experience.
•    Strong knowledge in finance budgeting.
•    Demonstrated experience in designing complex reports with inputs from multiple data source. 
•    Understanding of data governance tools and frameworks and regulatory compliance standards
•    Experience in large, complex organisations, ability to handle cultural diversity and managing senior stakeholders.
•    Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
•    Strong knowledge of the banking and financial services industry.
