Job Summary

Strategy
understanding of the Group’s HR / Reward strategy and model appropriate to the role 


Business
•    Work with the Head, Regional/Business PRB, to provide day to day Performance and reward support including preparation of offers, bid-backs, internal moves and the planning and completion of the annual P3 review.
•    Provide Reward advice and solutions to assigned HR and Business stakeholders on a range of employee compensation and benefit areas which may include banding, generic pay philosophies and pay positioning, approach to reward for internationally mobile employees, redundancy and total compensation.
•    To ensure that all reward activities are aligned with Group policies and standards and that activities are consistent across the region
•    Understanding of regulatory remuneration guidelines of the region and how these may impact the internal policies and support the PRB Advisory Head with managing responses to regulatory queries/issues on reward related topics within the region
•    Proactively communicating the Group compensation policies and standards changes to HR stakeholders
•    Contribute to the design of any Structured incentive plans and modelling, implementation and assurance activities in the country and region.
•    Contribute to the wider PRB agenda and building a network of contacts across the Group 
•    Improve business and HR’s understanding of reward and how reward programmes can be effectively and appropriately used to drive business performance and motivate employees.

Key Responsibilities

Processes
•    Support successful delivery of YER Review in partnership with the Country teams in line with Group process, timeline, and principles.
•    Drive further awareness of risk, control and conduct matters with the Country teams, to help improve line manager understanding of the linkage between breaches/issues with P3 outcomes.
•    Lead discussions with the Regional HR and Business teams in relation to the Group P3 messaging.
•    Manage other annual compensation processes including budgeting and forecastin

 

Risk Management
•    In respect of the Group’s Risk Management Framework ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility
•    Act to minimise operational loss and audit failures and take proactive measures to respond to matters arising, and identify and manage forward looking risks
•    Support statutory and internal audits, as appropriate. 


Governance 
Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

 

Regulatory & Business Conduct 
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct

 

Key stakeholders
Regional PRB Head, Head of HRs, TA, P3 Operations team, Reward Governance team.

Qualifications

Skillset:

- Data analysis and reporting. Especially compensation benchmarking, data modelling etc
- HR background
- Strong Analytical and Business skills eg understand the reward strategy and align to this and interpreting the large datasets to write insights/inference
- Strong communication skills as this role involve most senior reward leaders as well as the Business MT

- HR Degree or MBA- HR or equivalent qualification 
- Certified reward professional
