Job Summary

•    Standard Chartered Bank is seeking an experienced SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Platform Support Lead to join our production support team at Band 7 level. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in application support with strong expertise in SAP BTP platform services and production support operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading application support activities, managing production incidents, ensuring system stability, and providing technical expertise for SAP BTP applications across the bank's technology landscape 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Standard Chartered Bank is seeking an experienced SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Platform Support Lead to join our production support team at Band 7 level. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in application support with strong expertise in SAP BTP platform services and production support operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading application support activities, managing production incidents, ensuring system stability, and providing technical expertise for SAP BTP applications across the bank's technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support Leadership:
•    Lead Level 2/Level 3 application support for SAP BTP platform services and applications
•    Manage and coordinate production incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact
•    Provide 24x7 production support coverage as part of shift rotation (KL/CHN/BLR locations)
•    Lead Major Incident Management (MIM) calls and coordinate with cross-functional teams
•    Perform root cause analysis for critical production issues and implement preventive measures
•    Ensure adherence to SLA/OLA requirements and maintain high system availability
SAP BTP Platform Support:
•    Provide expert-level support for SAP BTP services including HANA Cloud, Datasphere, Analytics Cloud
•    Monitor and maintain SAP Identity Authentication Service, Cloud Transport Management, and Connectivity Services
•    Support SAP Business Application Studio, Workzone, and other BTP foundation services
•    Manage SAP BTP subaccounts, service assignments, and platform configurations
•    Coordinate with SAP support for product-related issues and service requests
Technical Operations & Monitoring:
•    Perform daily health checks, system monitoring, and performance analysis
•    Monitor batch jobs, Control-M scheduling, and automated processes
•    Analyze application logs, performance metrics, and system alerts

•    Manage database operations, SQL execution, and data management tasks
•    Coordinate infrastructure patches, updates, and maintenance activities
•    Ensure backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures are followed
Change & Release Management:
•    Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews and approve production changes
•    Coordinate release deployments and go-live support activities
•    Manage Cloud Transport Management (CTM) configurations and transport movements
•    Support regression testing and performance testing activities
•    Ensure proper change documentation and approval processes
Team Leadership & Coordination:
•    Lead and mentor junior support analysts (Band 8-9) and provide technical guidance
•    Coordinate with development teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders
•    Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members
•    Participate in hiring activities and team capacity planning
•    Foster collaborative relationships with global support teams
Required Qualifications
Experience:
•    Minimum 8 years of experience in application production support
•    At least 4-5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP platform and services
•    Strong experience in SAP HANA Cloud, Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud support
•    Proven experience in incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis
•    Experience with 24x7 production support operations and shift management
•    Banking or financial services domain experience preferred

SAP BTP Technical Skills:
•    Platform Services: Expert knowledge of SAP AI Core, Business AI, Datasphere, HANA Cloud, Analytics Cloud
•    Infrastructure: SAP BTP Foundation Services, Cloud Foundry, Connectivity Services
•    Integration: Cloud Transport Management, SAP Cloud Connector, API management
•    Security: Identity Authentication Service, Identity Access Governance, certificate management
•    Monitoring: Application monitoring, performance tuning, and alerting systems
Technical Support Skills:
•    Database Management: SAP HANA administration, SQL optimization, data management
•    System Administration: Linux/Unix systems, cloud infrastructure, networking
•    Monitoring Tools: Application monitoring tools, log analysis, performance monitoring
•    Automation: Control-M, batch scheduling, automated deployment processes
•    Scripting: Shell scripting, Python, or similar automation languages
Leadership & Communication Skills:
•    Strong leadership abilities with experience managing technical teams
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
•    Strong communication skills for stakeholder management and incident coordination
•    Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
•    Experience in change management and process improvement
Preferred Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
•    SAP BTP certifications (HANA Cloud, Datasphere, Analytics Cloud)
•    ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management knowledge
•    Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
•    Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
•    Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools

•    Knowledge Management: Maintain knowledge base and provide training to team members
•    Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality support delivery and adherence to standards
•    Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with SAP support and other vendors

Qualifications

Education
•    Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science

•    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud and SAP Cloud Platform.
•    In-depth knowledge and delivery of SAP system components (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, GRC, SAP Identity Authentication Service, SAP Cloud Connector, HANA Data Provisioning Agent, SAP NetWeaver, etc.)
•    Experience with SAP system installations, upgrades and migrations.
•    Strong understanding of SAP application architecture and integration points.
•    Proficiency in UNIX-based operating systems.
•    Knowledge of database administration (HANA, Oracle, MSSQL, etc)
•    Excellent in problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Skills in API usage, command-line interface and Software Development Kits (SDKs) for writing applications is desirable.
•    Understanding of DevOps, source code version control management and related git operations.
•    Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team, and individually with minimal supervision.
•    Hands on experience in the use of cloud solutions on AWS and/or Azure platforms is an added Advantage.
•    Certification in SAP Basis, AWS and/or Azure is added advantage.
•    Experience with 24x7 production support operations and shift management
