Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Lead with expertise in ReactJS, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL/Oracle, and Microservices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of developers, designing, and implementing robust software solutions, and ensuring the seamless integration of various technologies to deliver high-quality applications. The Technology Lead will play a critical role in driving technical excellence, fostering innovation, and maintaining best practices within the development team.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:
•    Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and support.
•    Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software applications.
•    Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
Project Management:
•    Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
•    Plan and manage development sprints, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
•    Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Software Development:
•    Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using ReactJS, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL/Oracle, and Microservices.
•    Implement RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
•    Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Innovation and Improvement:
•    Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
•    Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions.
•    Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Collaboration and Communication:
•    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and UX/UI designers.
•    Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
•    Prepare and present technical documentation and reports as needed.

•    Responsibilities that are related to the development and implementation of a CIB & PE strategy.

Business
•    Responsibilities related to the delivery of business and / or financial CIB & PE objectives.

•    Responsible for understanding the processes pertaining to CIB – Coverage and in particular to Contract Management Process
People & Talent
•    Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
•    Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
•    Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
•    Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
•    Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives. 

Risk Management

•    Responsibilities relating to identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks pertaining to the CIB - Coverage & PE risks.

Governance

•    Responsibilities relating to the direction, planning, structure, frameworks (e.g. processes and policies) and oversight. 

Regulatory & Business Conduct
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles 
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
•    Serve as a Director of the Board 
•    Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.

Skills and Experience

•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
•    Proven experience as a Technology Lead or similar role, with a strong background in software development.
•    In-depth knowledge of ReactJS, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL/Oracle, and Microservices architecture.
•    Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end development.
•    Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
•    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
