Job Summary
Strategy
- This is an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Developer to support the Cluster Treasury team digitize their processes by working on existing applications as well as development of enhancements and new applications primarily using Microsoft SQL Server and various latest generation front-end technologies.
- As the successful candidate, you will be part of the RAD Team within Treasury supporting business as opposed to being part of the Standard Chartered Technology function and you will have direct involvement with the business on a daily basis working in an agile fashion to progress solutions quickly from idea to prototype to delivery. It will require you to handle multiple support tasks as well as tactical project analysis and development
Processes & Responsibilities
- Manage Development and DevOps responsibilities to ensure the RAD servers continue to perform at peak capacity and availability.
- Application support, Infra management
- Agile software development processes
- Implement security best practices to protect application from vulnerabilities.
- Build full stack products, from pixel-perfect UIs to highly available backend systems and maintain applications to digitize business processes across a multitude of Treasury and Finance functions (e.g. Tax, Performance Management, Regulatory and Financial Controls, Balance Sheet Management, Reporting etc.)
- Work together with design, frontend engineers, business stakeholders, product management to deliver new and improve existing features.
- Cross platform optimization, Version control, Troubleshooting and Debugging
- Continuous Learning
- Value teamwork and have excellent collaboration skills, across multiple teams and locations.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management & Governance
Ensure adherence to all internal technology policies and regulations and establish a robust governance process covering the RAD solutions developed.
Continually enhance the control environment to maintain robust processes around security, data reconciliation, data quality and audit trails ensuring complete and accurate reporting across designed processes.
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical solution development
Strong experience with the following programming skills:
Expert level, hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Expert level, frontend: HTML, CSS, Java Script, Typescript, Bootstrap, knowledge about validation, responsiveness and user experience(UI/UX) is a must.
Expert level experience with front-end technologies in Vue.js or React.js
Backend: Preferred proficiency with Node.js, Python and R
Expert level, programming languages: .NET C# VB.net
SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
Excel/Access VBA
Very good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and devops practices
Additional skills preferred:
Preferences given to candidates with familiarity using version control systems, notably GIT and Bitbucket.
Experience in Selenium C# automation testing.
Experience with Tableau building MI
Knowledge in SaaS, multi-tenancy, Open source, and any public cloud offering (preferred SAC, SAP HANA/DSP experience)
Knowledge in NoSQL databases, prefer MongoDB.
Basic knowledge on AI programming tools like Git hub Copilot / TabNine / Codeium, NLP and ML models.
Good communication skills and ability to articulate technical details and challenges to business users.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and innovative mind set.
Web Security, Restful APIs, Code efficiency.
