Job Description: 

Job Summary

 

  • Manage end to end forecast review, analytics and optimisation across Capital, RWA metrics for Group, Solo and legal entities
  • Provide slides for Balance sheet review, GALCO and other committee packs clearly summarising forecast backed by strong commentaries and drivers to explain the forecast and quantification of key constrains, risk and opportunities as well as compliance to local metrics
  • Deliver metric forecasting (CET1, Tier1, Total capital, MREL, RWA etc.) understanding the regulatory requirements and strategically drive the delivery through the genesis project.
  • Co-ordinate with central FP&A and treasury teams to understand group level guardrails and key constrains to drive a forecast plan that aligns to the same.
  • Clear understanding of actual movements along with narrative across balance sheet, Risk weighted assets, capital, and metrics. Continuously querying segment and business teams and reaching out to them in understanding the movement and add more business sense to the outcome.
  • Clear tracking of movements to forecasts between the previous run along with underlying reasoning for changes to forecast.
  • Closely work with broader treasury and analytics team within the function and feed forecasts at the agreed frequency
  • Initiate regular briefing and knowledge sharing within team across locations on business performance themes.

Risk Management

•    Coordinating, driving and directing effective compliance by embedding an effective Risk Management Framework (RMF) & Process Universe to ensure all areas manage operational risks in a proactive, risk based and disciplined manner.
•    Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, by performing periodic assessment and monitoring activities (CST & KCI) as well as timely identification, escalation and resolution of risk issues
•    Ensure compliant with Operational Risk policies, procedures, and applicable 
•    To provide a focal point of control over the aggregate level of operational risk in the functions that arises from end to end processes, including the design of effective controls and the systematic monitoring of process control effectiveness.
•    To exercise direct Risk Control Ownership / Process owner for Operational Risk and ensure risks of processing failure are being actively controlled on an end-to-end basis


Governance

•    Regular face off with Traders, Product Control Management, Regional finance team and various internal stakeholders within GFS.
•    Act as a point of reference for team members and internal clients.
•    Manage relationship with internal stakeholders, take regular feedback, anticipate and understand issues and escalate appropriately for timely resolution
•    Manage strong relationship with support teams (IT, Operations and Risk) and bring synergies by interacting and integrating with cross functional teams

Skills and Experience

 

  • In depth understanding of balance sheet and P&L statements. Good understanding of Capital requirements, regulatory capital RWA for global banks. Candidates with prior experience in Treasury or Balance sheet forecasting will be preferred. 
  • Excel, MRC/ Hyperion.
  • Working knowledge of OBIEE (PMI/RMI), Hyperion (MRC/ HP / HPCM), SAP BPC, Financial Analytics
  • Experience on Tableau dashboards and skills on Dataiku would be a plus. These are preferable but optional.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines and be able to manage different stakeholders through active engagement and partnership
  • A resilient and confident self-starter with well-developed communication & inter-personal skills

Qualifications

  • An experienced finance professional with relevant experience in Banking / Financial Services industry.
  • CA or Graduate + MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution will be preferred.
