Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    A Process Reengineering job description involves analyzing, redesigning, and improving core processes to achieve dramatic improvements in critical metrics like efficiency, cost, quality, and speed. Key responsibilities include documenting current workflows, analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, collaborating with stakeholders to implement new processes, and ensuring successful change management, often with the help of technology or process changes. The role requires a combination of analytical, project management, and communication skills to drive radical, not just incremental, change. 
•    The ideal candidate combines deep understanding of transaction banking processes with practical knowledge of data, analytics, and exposure to machine learning / AI will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

•    Process analysis and mapping: Document, analyze, and map existing operations processes and workflows to understand how they currently operate.
•    Data analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
•    Process redesign: Reimagine and redesign processes to eliminate redundancy, simplify workflows, and fundamentally change how work is done to achieve better outcomes. This may involve shifting from functional departments to process teams and from simple tasks to empowered employees.
•    Stakeholder collaboration: Work with employees, management, and cross-functional teams to gather input and ensure support for new processes. Work closely with Business stakeholders and Operations teams.
•    Technology integration: Identify and implement technology solutions to support new processes, which can include automation, system integration, and digital tools.
•    Change management: Facilitate the transition to new processes by providing training, clear communication, and support to employees to help them adapt to changes in their roles and workflows.
•    Project management: Manage project timelines, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure that BPR projects are completed according to plan.
•    Policy and procedure development: Support the development and implementation of new policies and procedures that align with the redesigned processes. 
•    Define and track adoption metrics: Straight-through-processing (STP) uplift, cycle-time reduction, error-rate reduction, and cost-per-transaction impact. Ensure tangible outcome i.e. efficiency targets are well defined & delivered. 
•    Influence senior management and governance committees through evidence-based reporting and insights.
•    Domain Knowledge deep understanding of transaction banking operations (payments, liquidity, trade, cash management, reconciliations)
•    Operational Acumen Ability to map complex processes, quantify improvement opportunities, and design measurable solutions
•    Stakeholder Influence Excellent communication and negotiation skills with cross-functional and senior stakeholders
•    Governance Mindset Strong understanding of model-risk, data-privacy, and regulatory compliance frameworks
•    Change Leadership Skilled at driving adoption, training, and cultural change in operational environments

Qualifications

•    Lean Six sigma certification like black belt or any other equivalent certification 
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Expertise in business process analysis and improvement methodologies.
•    Experience with process mapping and modeling tools.
•    Knowledge of change management principles.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
•    Project management experience.
•    Understanding of how technology can be used to support business processes. 
•    Prior exposure to transaction banking, payments operations, or trade finance required.
