Job Summary

The Team is expanding it’s offering into Data and Analytics Hive, which is intended to be built using intelligent entity management and data modelling in SAP Datasphere and reporting via SAC. This should give users a fast and efficient interface to interrogate large datasets of capital data and create reports on the fly for analysis and decision making.

Key responsibilities of the role:
•    Successful candidates will be highly proficient in data modelling, solutioning and BI reporting. 
•    Strategic thinking about the data management in a long-term perspective as this model will cater to users from multiple departments and regions.
•    Candidates are expected to be comfortable working directly with the users to understand requirements, offer strategic advice and rapidly iterate through versions of the solution.
•    Should work in Agile model and get involved in sprint planning activities. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Part of the Group’s Functions-Finance Team, an experienced SME is required to operate in an Agile squad involved in changes and rollouts to the Management information and data analytics ecosystem of applications and services as part of the TTO. This person is expected to have strong Business Intelligence (BI) knowledge responsible for designing ETL, Data modeling, Data Analysis, Reverse Engineering, PLSQL coding and tuning and BI reporting like SAC and MSTR.  

Business
•    Coordinate with business analysts and internal customers to develop functional and technical specification documents 
•    Understand the business needs and their pain points and design a solution that addresses their needs
•    Since this is MI reporting, there will be a lot of collaboration with business teams, so communication has to be clear and to the point.
•    Ensure that all documentation, processes, and methodologies used in the various phases of system development and implementation is in accordance with the Group’s standards.
•    Possess sound communications skills.
•    Perform analysis of the current state, and future state requirements. Provide solution options, along with high level estimates, impact assessments and technology recommendations.
•    Create well-written and elaborated epics, stories and sub-tasks which can be reviewed by the business and utilized by the development and testing for implementation.
•    Highlight project risks, suggest how they might be mitigated.

Processes
•    Strong commitment to sound development practices, including test and deploy with version control (GIT)
•    Ensure compliance of regulations and policies. 
•    Ensure the solution is aligned with bank’s ICS controls. 
•    Taking part in review forums such as ARF, FTC and SACA and ensure the solution is in line with the standards defined in these forums.

People & Talent
•    Should conduct regular status call and share status reports with ITO team. Collect requirements JIRA/CR# from business team and analyze it and propose right solution business
•    Identifies and recommends new technology or practices that will add value to the organization in terms of performance and cost.
•    Undertakes continuous improvement for the dev practice.
•    Mentoring new team members 

Risk Management
•    Ensure the deliverables are completed on time and support the processes whenever there is an absence of a team member by stepping up and performing their role 

Governance
•    Ensure compliance of regulations, policies, and requirements of the In-Scope countries

•    Excellent communication and influencing skills with executive presence, and an ability to build trust and creditability with stakeholders.
•    Hands on experience with basic shell scripting and Linux
•    Strong verbal and written communications skills.
