Job Summary

•    The Compliance and Risk Hadoop Store - CRHS will act as primary data layer for all the Risk reporting, covering presently Credit, Traded, Treasury, Operational, Reputational, Sustainability, Compliance, Model and Integrated Risks. The risk store transformation functions across layers are managed by a framework done in spark to get faster time to market, instead of coding every time. We are looking for talented individuals to join us and grow together.
What We Are Looking For
•    We are seeking an Sr. level / Lead Business Analyst (BA) to join our team. This role focuses on analysing business/data logic and delivering functional specification documents, mapping documents/specifications & support for ETL development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial industry products with data and excellent analytical skills

Strategy

•    Awareness and understanding of the Risk Data strategy and support in required development as appropriate to the role 


Business

•    Awareness and understanding of the Risk business and various Principal Risk Types supported as required by Risk strategy

Processes

•    Responsible for development of code using necessary tools as required by Risk Data Technology

People & Talent 

•    Ensure to be part of working culture and values. Be a good team player and support the risk data team in development as required 


Risk Management

The ability to interpret information and share with people as required by Group Risk Management 


Governance 

•    Responsible to follow Project governance while working on delivery of projects by ensure relevant governance artefacts are met 

Key Responsibilities

Planning

•    Feasibility Study: To assess the feasibility of the project, considering factors like business requirements, technical capabilities, and resources. 
•    Collaboration: To collaborate with stakeholders and the technical teams to refine the business analysis plan. 

Requirements Analysis

•    Elicitation: To gather and document requirements from various stakeholders (Change Teams, Product Owners etc.,) 
•    Documentation: To create comprehensive documentation like functional specification documents (FSDs), Data Model, Data Flow, Data Lineage etc., 
•    Requirement Clarification: To provide walkthrough and clarify requirements for developers and address any questions that arise during the development process. 
•    Traceability: To maintain traceability between requirements and development artifacts. 

Testing

•    Test Planning: Contribute to test planning, defining test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
•    Quality Assurance: Participating in testing and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure the quality of deliverables.


Deployment

•    User Training: BAs may be involved in user training and documentation to ensure users are prepared for the new system.
•    Go-Live Support: To provide support during the initial rollout of the system.

Maintenance

•    Post-Implementation Review: BAs participate in post-implementation reviews to assess the success of the project and identify areas for improvement. 
•    Change Management: They may be involved in managing changes and enhancements to the system

Skills and Experience

•    Domain Skills: Experienced in Banking operations, Transaction Processing systems, Credit / Financial related products etc.,
•    Technical Skills: Experience in understanding relevant technologies and tools. Mandatory: Excel Advanced & SQL Basic / Intermediate & Good to Have: Data analysis/visualisation tools like Power BI/Tableau.
•    Data Analysis: To be adept at collecting, cleaning, transforming, and analysing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. 
•    Soft Skills: Communication, collaboration, problem-solving, attention to detail, project/team leadership.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
•    5+ years of experience in business analysis or related field, 10+ years of overall IT/data experience. 
•    Strong understanding of financial industry data and financial products. 
•    Team lead or project lead experience. 
•    Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.
•    Strong analytical and communication skills.
•    English Proficiency: Strong in read/write/listen/speak.
