Job Summary
The ML Engineer acts as the key member of the squad, within IDP Surveillance Hive of Risk and CFCC under Group Functions, supporting the squad members with designing, developing, and deploying new AI/ML solutions to business.

Responsibility
As part of the squad, the ML Engineer is involved in
1. Refinement
a. Work with the product owners or business stakeholders to understand the key problem areas that requires automation via AI/ML solutions.
b. Data collection, EDA, statistical analysis, predictive modelling A/B testing and reporting insights.
c. Document the requirement in form of user stories.
d. Walkthrough the refined user stories with business stakeholders and product owners to confirm the scope.
e. Provides data driven insights for decision- making.
2. Model Development and Training
a. Work with developers to Translate business problems into ML solutions.
b. Selecting appropriate algorithms and frameworks
c. Focus on selecting, training and evaluating ML models
d. Documenting workflows, experiments, and decisions
3. Software Development and MLOps
a. Build Prototype models and hands them off to engineers for deployment.
b. Continuously improving models based on new data and feedback.
4. Training and Documentation
a. Train business users on functionalities and how to use them
b. Prepare and maintain training material, FAQ and other documents on what has been developed, including business processes.
Skills and Experience
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work in cross-functional environments.
• Strong background in business analysis, process automation, or AI-driven transformation
• Strong understanding of AI Models, autonomous agents, and reinforcement learning, along with experience in prompt engineering, multi-agent systems and AI alignment
• Knowledge of programming languages like python and should be proficient in Vector DB to store / process Contextual data, SQL(structured data) and NoSQL databases(unstructured data)
• Solid understanding of the AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, LongChain, Keras, and Scikit-learn.
• Integrating and preparing large-scale datasets for AI and ML model training.
• Work with product and engineering teams to integrate agentic AI into real-world applications.
• Knowledge on AI governance, ethical AI , Safety, alignment, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Good to have Financial Markets Products, life cycle and understanding of Market Abuse Scenarios
