Job Summary
- Work with the technology leadership and architect to ensure the technical feasibility of the requirements and associated technical workflows, processes are analysed, understood and formalized into requirements in the form of clearly articulated features & user stories.
- Impact Assessment: Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems/processes and workflows to clearly state out the impact of doing changes in scope for the release
- Support the business needs into clear and comprehensive requirements / user stories. Facilitate communication amongst vendors and all impacted teams to ensure there is common understanding of the project requirements and seek sign off from all stakeholders involved.
- Create Solution Intent documentation by clearly drafting out the solution design, impact to the current architecture and future state.
- Architecture and Security reviews – work with the Domain architects and security reviewers to prepare & present for all the architecture and governance reviews forums. This includes AI/ML security reviews and seeking RAI council approvals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend how systems should integrate.
- Responsible for applying technical knowledge to solution and configure the application in alignment with the Acceptance Criteria.
- Assist POs and Lead Engineers with Testing including planning, preparation and test case creation.
- Perform analysis and execute configuration/development (in SaaS context) to deliver the expected outcome of the requirements.
- Data Management -reviewing the data handling practises from the vendor to ensure they adhere to the data protection regulation and best practises defined by Standard Chartered bank.
- Infrastructure/batch/integrations job support- comes with good technical background and able to support infra/batch specific queries within the hive. Has a good understanding of how SFTP/File IT/API integrations works.
Key Responsibilities
As an Engineering Analyst in Standard Chartered
• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with all stakeholders (vendors and interfacing teams within SCB) to understand the project objective, scope, processes impacted and detailed requirements
• Documentation of requirements: Translate the business needs into clear and comprehensive requirements: BRD, FSD/user stories. Facilitate communication amongst vendors and all impacted teams in SCB to ensure there is common understanding of the project requirements and seek sign off from all stakeholders involved
• Impact Assessment: Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems/processes and workflows to clearly state out the impact of doing this change
• Solution Design and Architecture: Have a good understanding of the e2e flow, architecture and help with the Solution Intent documentation clearly drafting out the current architecture diagram, impact to the current architecture and future state. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend how systems should integrate in cloud env
• Helping with the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning deep dive sessions/engagements including reviewing the recommended guidelines and ensuring vendor teams are in alignment to the recommended AI/ML best practises and processes followed by Standard Chartered. This also includes running test scenarios with business for trends and analysis of the data for key decision making
• Data Management -reviewing the data handling practises from the vendor to ensure they adhere to the data protection regulation and best practises defined by Standard Chartered bank.
• Governance activities – work with the project team to help them with Standard chartered review forums around architecture, security reviews and AI/ML components
• Release and change management
• Running regular sprints, co-ordinating with all stakeholders for release alignment and delivery
• Supporting the testing and warranty/hyper care phase including production incidents deep dive
• Work with key stakeholders to ensure all deliverables are in alignment to the bank’s overall strategy.
• Align to Bank’s Delivery Ways of working
• Able to collect, interpret and present data that supports key decision making.
• Able to prepare for all governance forums- Architecture and security reviews
• Able to do sprint and release management
• Define solutions that are in alignment to the long-term strategic goals of the HR business.
• Able to identify risks early and propose strategies to mitigate them in alignment with the overall bank’s and HR business strategy.
Skills and Experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Must have good experience on Human Resources Application/Systems (HRMS)
• Must to understand business requirements and translate into actions/documentations.
• Must have good understanding of the Saas/ cloud-based applications
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure/architecture.
• Technical background in software engineering and delivery is good to have.
• Effective interpersonal, communication skills to articulate at different levels of organization hierarchy
• Strong relationship management experience with influencing and negotiation skills.
• Creative mind – be able to suggest ideas and drive innovation.
• Able to priorities tasks based on urgency and importance.
• Strong organizational, time management and administration skills.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrable expertise with engineering tools such as, Jira/ADO, Confluence or similar.
Qualifications
- Certifications - Scaled Agile Framework/ Agile fundamentals
- Tools – ADO, JIRA, Confluence
- Bachelors in Computers Science.
