Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing and Transforming the existing team members to Agile and DevOps practices in an organization Lead teams of software engineers on large scale distributed solutions
  • Experience in working on various source control management like subversion, GIT
  • Responsible for automating, building, deploying release of code from one environment to another environment.
  • Ability to write automation script for configuring servers and services. 
  • AWS services like EC2, cloud watch, VPC, EBS and cloud formation.
  • Good experience in a Linux environment with Apache Tomcat on Amazon AWS
  • Take complex problems and find simple elegant solutions
  • Embrace DevOps principles and actively work to improve each stage of the delivery process
  • Be Agile in a collaborative and creative environment 
  • Be able to manage creative and dynamic work in balance with the need to deliver in a disciplined manner within a strict regulatory environment
  • Above all, be passionate about the software you write and be a person who loves technology, collaboration and positive change
  • Major programs – Digital Transformation (Strategic platform), Digital Transformation (Tactical solutions), regulatory work, Group Digital Experience and Proof of Concept projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Experience in delivering software in a regulated environment, ideally financial services
  • Proven skills in co-ordination, staff management and leadership working with vendors and internal teams
  • Software development predominately within a Java, OSGI, Micro-services-based software stack
  • Manage user story workflows and agreement/approvals with business/QA teams on quality standards
  • Ability to successfully engage with and deliver for a diverse stakeholder community
  • Automated testing (TDD/BDD), DevOps and Kanban/Scrum delivery, ideally with Cucumber/Ruby experience
