JOB SUMMARY

  • As an Observability Service Journey Engineer, you will play a critical role in building the various service journeys in the bank, designing and building solutions to capture transaction and data journeys within applications. You will develop capability to capture journey data from different sources and store this data on the central observability platform. You will build a centralized framework to standardize the journey data including data massaging, performance tuning, capacity management. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build an Service journey framework for applications to use.
  • Develop capability to capture varying service journey data from agents of different flavor and bring the under a single platform.
  • Design and develop Capability for analytics of journey data and capability to map the journey between different apps.
  • Work with stakeholders and enable them to fit their data captures in the service journey framework of COP.
  • Work to ensure the COP framework enables integration of unstructured data from various apps to finally visualize the service journeys.
  • Identify data structures and adopt an agile methodology to make changes within COP framework to enable fitment of any new journey data. 
  • Develop insightful visualizations with existing tool base, UI framework to provide a clean journey visual for stakeholders. 
  • Build proactive dashboards from captured dataset enabling business apps to identify and resolve problems well in advance.
  • Build AI/ML based anomaly detection in captured journeys.
  • Our ideal candidate would have:
  • 7 years experience working in Observability/Python Development/UI development/ELK.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructures, particularly Kubernetes and AWS.
  • In-depth experience of data structures and data processing.
  • In-depth experience of building schemas against data models.
  • Experience ELK, Victoria Metrics, Grafana, Python, Pyspark, React, Kafka.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy

  • Awareness and understanding of the TTO’25 business strategy and model appropriate to the role. Support and the enablement of the Central Experience Platform, goals and objectives by developing prioritized features aligned to the Catalyst and Tech Simplification programmes.

Business

  • The Central Experience Platform team is a global team ensuring the design, development, delivery & support of the bank’s service journeys for all TTO teams with identified important business services.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of in one or more of the platform technologies (Elastic Observability, Victoria Metrics, Grafana) and its other required capabilities, such as Kafka messaging, database management, enabling the design, development, implementation, and management of the central solution, integrating advanced technological tools and techniques, and overseeing large-scale enterprise-level implementations. The candidate should also possess strong development skills with Python/PySpark and UI development skills like React/Angular.

  • As a Service Journey engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our service journeys, thereby enabling our organization to deliver exceptional services to our internal stakeholders by adhering to the Enterprise SDLC (eSDLC) framework and guidelines.

  • Actively engaging in stakeholders’ conversations, providing timely, clear and actionable feedback to deliver solution within timeline. 

Risk Management

  • The ability to interpret the Group’s technical and security (ICS) control requirements and information to identify potential risks and key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures to mitigate or minimize risk to the central monitoring & observability platform delivery.

Governance

  • Awareness and understanding of the eSDLC framework, in which the TTO software delivery operates, and the requirements and expectations relevant to the role. 
  • Responsible for adhering to the effectiveness of the central monitoring and observability platform deliver governance, based on oversight and controls of the eSDLC framework.

  • Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in the Observability Platform Team; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats); [List all responsibilities associated with the role]
  • Participate in solution architecture / design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning activities
  • Create sustainable solutions and services through automation and service uplifts within monitoring and observability disciplines
  • Daily tasks include providing Level 2 / Level 3 support to delivered solutions. This means solving incidents and problems and applying changes according to the bank’s defined processes.
