Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Trainer at aXess Academy, you will play a pivotal role in empowering our technology teams through impactful and targeted training programs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with the Corporate Learning Centre to accurately identify and analyse the evolving training needs aligned with business objectives and emerging technologies.
  • Designing, developing, and updating comprehensive instructor materials that include detailed course outlines, reference guides, interactive training aids, and multimedia content tailored for diverse learner groups.
  • Implementing innovative instructional strategies and integrating computer-based, e-learning, and multimedia resources to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Delivering exceptional classroom and virtual training sessions focusing on full stack development, APIs, and cutting-edge technology trends, continuously refining your presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ensuring consistency and high quality in course content and delivery throughout the training lifecycle by monitoring feedback, measuring effectiveness, and updating materials accordingly.
  • Overseeing the management of comprehensive training programs, ensuring alignment with both business needs and regulatory compliance requirements, and maintaining adherence to the Quality Management System standards.
  • Planning and coordinating logistics for training activities including venue setup, materials preparation, and scheduling, in partnership with internal administrative teams and the Corporate Learning Centre.
  • Maintaining meticulous training records and curriculum databases to track attendance, progress, and outcomes, facilitating continuous improvement of programs.
  • Managing and ensuring optimal use of in-house training facilities and technology resources to create an effective learning environment.
  • Acting as a point of liaison with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless initiation and delivery of training sessions.
  • Embodying and promoting Standard Chartered's values by demonstrating exemplary conduct and upholding the highest standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, and business conduct in all training initiatives.
  • Proactively identifying, escalating, and mitigating risks related to compliance and conduct within the scope of training functions.

This role demands a proactive approach to managing the full training cycle from needs assessment to program evaluation and enhancement, underpinned by a deep understanding of both traditional and modern training methodologies.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for a candidate who brings a robust technical background coupled with effective training delivery skills:

  • Extensive knowledge in Data Science and Machine Learning methodologies to support advanced curriculum development.
  • Strong expertise in Cloud platforms and DevOps practices to incorporate contemporary best practices in technology training.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python, enabling the ability to teach programming concepts with clarity.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI technologies to guide learners on emerging AI solutions.
  • Comprehensive skill set in full stack technologies, including frontend [HTML,CSS etc.,] and backend [Java, Python etc.,] development frameworks, allowing for end-to-end technical training design and delivery.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for continuous learning and technical mastery, integrating hands-on programming experience with modern training techniques to create engaging and effective educational experiences.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications and experience criteria:

  • A Graduate or Postgraduate degree in a relevant field coupled with 7 to 12 years of substantial experience in technology training and development.
  • Proven expertise as a full stack technical trainer, with strong command over key technologies including Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, React, SQL, NoSQL databases, DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, RESTful web services, cloud platforms, and secure coding practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage training schedules, along with maintenance of Training Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to prepare training materials and reports efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail, ensuring clear transmission of complex technical concepts.
  • Strong analytical, logical problem-solving capabilities coupled with a talent for designing curriculum that supports varied learning styles.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, marked by the ability to organize, manage projects, and engage diverse audiences while fostering a positive and inclusive learning culture.
