Job Summary
• To function as the domain expert in the core banking team and support the core banking product for any production issue that are reported.
• Should participate on all severity calls during application issues (even at night if any) and provide workaround / permanent fixes on the issue reported.
• Consistently to provide training and coaching to up-skill the staffs on product and technical knowledge to handle problem tickets of a more complex nature.
• To lead/guide the group of teams in their application support and ensuring the adherence of best software practices and standards.
• Effective engagement with business & technology stakeholders for any critical issues.
• Flexible to work in shifts inclusive of night shifts being 24*7 application.
• Ensure RCAs are performed for high severity issues and recurring incidents.
• Should have adequate knowledge on Java, Postgres SQL, Shell scripts and AWS foundations.
• Ensure that infra also managed effectively without any capacity issues. Also, perform OS / CVE patching to manage application infra issues.
• Identify system Gaps. Prepare & execute the service Improvement plans.
• Conduct weekly CABs for the changes proposed on the application by development / release team.
• Conduct service review meeting with technology stakeholders for effective rapport with business and ensure that all issues reported by business are handled on timely manner effectively.
• Need to renew the SLA / OLA / ASRM / DR / Restoration documents for the application to manage.
• Effectively manage VULN / AIVT findings (or) provide / follow-up with relevant team to ensure it gets fixed within SLA agreed.
• Effective response to all audit queries pertaining to the application that he/she supports.

• Lead a team of Production Team and guide them in various activities like Incident / prod and change Support and Implementation and Post Implementation support.

• Adhere the production engineering process provided by GBS group..

• Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
• Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
• Responsibility to review production capacity plans and incident trends
Risk Management
• Being a role in production support requires the way in which the risk adherence is strictly followed as per group framework.
Governance
• Identify system Gaps. Prepare & execute the service Improvement plans.
• To resolve complex (L2 / L3) incidents & manage security incidents.
• Perform monthly trending on the root cause of tickets and provide sound resolutions to eliminate repeat problem tickets.
• Regularly review the nature of incident tickets with a view to fix it permanently.
• Consistently to provide training and coaching to up-skill the staffs on product and technical knowledge to handle problem tickets of a more complex nature

Skills and Experience
• Essential: Graduate qualifications
• Desired: Professional qualification, - BE/ME or Any postgraduate degree with computer science background
• Technical and Functional & Domain expertise in Wholesale / Consumer Banking.
• Experience in banking product support and processes would be required.
• Exposure to cloud functionalities and databases would be preferred
