Job Description: 

Job Summary

What You Will Do
•    Design and Develop Automated Tests: Create automated tests for APIs to ensure functionality and quality.
•    Execute Automated Tests: Run automated tests to identify defects and ensure API reliability.
•    API Testing: Test APIs to ensure they meet business requirements and are defect-free.
•    Collaborate with Teams: Work with development teams to identify and resolve API issues.
•    Test Planning & Strategy: Defining the scope, quality metrics, resource allocation, and testing methodologies (manual/automation).
•    Reporting & Communication: Submitting daily/weekly status reports to stakeholders and highlighting risks or bottlenecks.
•    Quality Assurance & Process Improvement: Reviewing test cases, enforcing standards, and refining the testing process.
•    Tracking defects and ensuring resolution: Track and manage defects using ADO. Liaise with developers, product owners and cross-functional teams to resolve defects promptly.
•    Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks in the testing process.
•    Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
•    Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of CIB systems, Cards, Payments, Client onboarding.
•    Mentor and guide junior QA engineers.
What You Need to Be Successful
•    API Testing Experience: 8+ years of experience in API testing and Automation.
•    Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Selenium) and SQL.

•    Automation Tools: In depth expertise in automation testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
•    Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyse API functionality and identify defects.
•    Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
•    Experience with Testing Frameworks: Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools.
•    Excellent documentation skills to maintain clear and concise records of testing activities. This includes writing test plans, test cases, and test reports.
•    The software testing landscape undergoes continuous transformation, with emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies reshaping the field regularly. As a Test Lead, cultivating adaptability and maintaining a commitment to continuous learning is essential to enhance testing processes, drive quality improvements, and deliver better outcomes for our team and organization.
Bonus Points if You Have
•    CI/CD Pipeline Experience: Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
•    Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
•    Proficiency in performance & security testing techniques and tools
What Makes You Eligible
•    Relevant Experience: 8+ years of experience in API automation testing.
•    Bachelor’s/master’s in engineering or related field.
•    Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in API testing, automation, and programming.
•    Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex API functionality and identify defects.
•    Strong understanding of banking domain and applications.
