Title: VP, IT Change and Release Manager - Treasury

Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Develop delivery and release plans with technical dependencies, aligning all partners with support from the team and architect.
• Negotiate, plan and manage all portfolio release activities and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
Business
• Coordinate and monitor product delivery involving multiple squads and interfaces.
• Own release planning activities inclusive of creating the change implementation plan, coordinating with vendors and all teams involved for alignment/seeking commitments to the plans, ESDLC process, raising change tickets, running UVT and seeking sign offs for all concerned parties.
• Orchestrate deployments, issue resolution, and sign-offs in partnership with the IT engineers.
• Drafting and circulating clear communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed of the upcoming changes, progress and adjustments to the timelines or implementation plans.
• Supporting business with RFPs.
Processes
• Review and assess release and path to production processes for improvement opportunities (e.g. simplification or automation).
• Measure, monitor & publish metrics to establish maturity model of release management function.
• Responsible for Go-Live activities including execution of deployment plans & publish lessons learnt.
• Establish a process for collating, prioritizing & deployment for all hot fixes & Change Requests via adhoc releases.
Regulatory & Governance
• Ensure releases adhere to Change Delivery Standards, ITSM and ESDLC.
• Own and address tech compliance (ESDLC) requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle (design reviews, security reviews, SAT, OAT, etc.) with support from PO/Chief PO/Hive Tech Lead.
• Ensure all release artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required standards and policies.
• Govern hygiene of releases & manage relevant communication of release schedules.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Lead the Liquidity team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

• Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures

Requirements & Skills
Technical Aptitude:
• Proficiency in IT systems, infrastructure, and technologies.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ITIL framework.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools and release automation systems.
Project Management:
• Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor changes and releases.
• Ability to create detailed project plans, set priorities, and manage resources effectively.
• Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks, identify issues, and develop solutions.
• Ability to make timely and sound decisions under pressure, considering both technical and business factors.
• Experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Risk Management
• Knowledge of risk management principles and practices to assess and mitigate risks associated with changes and releases.
• Ability to anticipate potential problems and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
Attention to Detail:
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in change and release documentation.
• Ability to review and verify configuration items, release packages, and deployment instructions.
