Job Summary

The Hive Tech Lead (HTL) for Audit Technology is a senior leadership role responsible for end-to-end delivery governance, financial oversight, and technology leadership across key Audit platforms, including SARA (Strategic Audit Risk and Assurance) and CMS (Case Management System).

The role will support the final phase of Appian decommissioning (target July 2025) and ensure a smooth transition to a stable run-and-change operating model, while driving ongoing enhancements, regulatory initiatives, and platform optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Governance & Assurance

  • Own end-to-end delivery accountability across SARA and CMS platforms
  • Ensure successful completion of Appian decommissioning and platform stabilisation
  • Drive predictable delivery across multiple squads and releases

Financial & Investment Management

  • Lead investment planning, business case validation, and funding alignment
  • Track budget, forecasts, and spend vs plan
  • Ensure strong financial governance and cost discipline

Architecture & Technology Governance

  • Ensure adherence to Service Bench architecture standards and enterprise guardrails
  • Drive design reviews, reuse, and platform consistency
  • Manage technical roadmap and prioritisation (features vs tech debt)

Risk, Compliance & Audit Readiness

  • Own risk and issue management across delivery lifecycle
  • Ensure continuous audit readiness and ESDLC compliance
  • Maintain required artefacts, controls, and governance evidence

Cross-Squad & Dependency Management

  • Manage interdependencies across SARA, CMS, and broader LARC platforms
  • Drive integrated planning, milestone tracking, and release coordination

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary technology partner for Audit stakeholders
  • Provide clear, decision-ready reporting to senior leadership
  • Align business priorities with technology delivery plans

People & Capability Leadership

  • Oversee engineering capability across squads (perm + vendor)
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation and skill alignment
  • Drive engineering practices, quality standards, and operating model adherence

People & Talent

8+ years of experience in the following,

  • Strong experience in enterprise application delivery and platform engineering
  • Proven track record managing large-scale, multi-squad programmes
  • Experience in financial governance, budgeting, and investment planning
  • Strong understanding of architecture governance and enterprise platforms
  • Experience working in regulated environments (Audit / Risk / Compliance preferred)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills

Risk Management

  • Mitigate delivery risks and issues, and ensure quality, affordability, and scope of delivery.
  • Act as the risk control owner under the Group’s risk management framework at the appropriate level.

Governance

  • Own risk and issue management across delivery lifecycle
  • Ensure continuous audit readiness and ESDLC compliance
  • Maintain required artefacts, controls, and governance evidence

Key stakeholders

  • Business Unit MT, Business Heads, Function Heads, Product Management / Product Ownership, Delivery Team, Group Process owners and Functional Partners including Risk, CFCC, HR, Finance, Legal, GIA.
