Job Summary

This role lends a unique opportunity within Planning Operations to front end enhanced F planning outcomes, principles & strategies with ACFO & CFO community. The role also warrants fulfilling the role of a liaison for Planning BPO for all audit (Internal and External) alongside UK ACG requirements. 
Key area of focus would cover:

  • Leading Enhanced F CP support and linkages to CFO outcomes 
  • Drive investment in financial planning tools & process
  • Review and align operating model changes in sync with Group’s strategy towards improvement in Bank’s ability for seamless planning, Balance Sheet optimisation, WorkForce Management, Monthly Rolling Forecast etc.
  • Supporting the management and execution of end-to-end planning processes
  • Strategic direction and oversight on central GPO processes and outcome coordination and management with key stakeholders within business and country CFO office
  • Support in establishing an agile Operating Model that is interlocked with planning processes and helping define future design of processes and the requirements for the new technology
  • Strong interpersonal and supervision skills with experience in leading high-performing teams

Key Responsibilities

Process & Strategy

  • Ensure adherence to strategic concepts and helping moderate these discussions as necessary
  • Participate and contribute to defining strategic operating models and implementation thereof for changes encapsulating Planning Operations domain 
  • Support governance and controls of financial planning principles
  • Support process integration and design discussions for planning processes covering Outlook, Plan & Workforce Management
  • Serve as a conduit between Planning Operations and CFO & BPO teams
  • Develop SME understanding capabilities and fundamentals of Planning GPO processes and help management with outcome focused decisionmaking


People & Talent

  • To drive, inspire and motivate the teams across planning communities and ensure change and potential targets are realized aligning with Bank’s B&M strategy
  • Support in enhancing overall culture of the organization, with improved My Voice scores, through targeted actions
  • Build and execute a People Engagement strategy that encompasses timely & relevant updates as well as social engagement to improve overall employee well being

Risk Management

  • Lead audit and risk related discussions and provide process support and evidence management
  • Serve as conduit between P2P & UK ACG implementation and adherence
  • Support planning teams on adhoc scenario planning and management with valuable process & fundamental SME insights

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience working within Finance in Performance Management, Group Planning & Budgeting and Forecasting processes, Cost management and or Financial Reporting & Controls is preferred
  • Understanding of core finance processes such as Transfer Pricing, Recharges, Balance Sheet & Treasury is crucial
  • Strong strategic mindset coupled with a thorough understanding of financial planning processes in Banking Industry to drive change is desirable
  • Change management experience with prior technology implementations preferred 
  • Experience in driving and documenting business & functional requirements
  • Sound understanding of finance technology toolsets and capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, lead through ambiguities, influence where he/she does not have direct authority & build on unstructured formative situations
  • Strong process management and reengineering skill set, including experience of system and process change initiatives
  • Experience in operating within large virtual teams and relationships across a complex network of stakeholders including senior management
  • Strategic mindset and with a good understanding of Banking business
  • Strong reasoning skills and ability to find resolutions
  • Excellent business judgment, operational control management and risk assessment
