Job Summary
- Manage end-to-end forecasting of Balance Sheet, Leverage exposure, Risk Weighted Assets / capital and connected analytics. This is presented via presentations to Treasurer, Head of Group FP&A and other stakeholders across Group.
- Review and challenge the business finance teams / entity teams on forecasts provided based on historical patterns and future economic conditions.
- Track and challenge the achievability of capital and balance sheet forecasts and flagging the inherent risks and opportunities to the forecast.
- Derive a funding plan on back of the balance sheet plan and ensure that balance sheet shows an optimised shape across Group for forecast periods
- Provide an output of Capital (CET1, Leverage ratio) and Liquidity (LCR, NSFR, Survival horizon) metrics and ensure those are within the risk appetite limits.
Key Responsibilities

- Deliver process and presentations for the treasurer and his team to support weekly reviews, linking balance sheet forecasts with capital and liquidity metrics
- Review key reports to the Treasurer and Group CFO and various financial processes performed by other process teams, ensure that quality is not compromised.
- Explain the actual movements on balance sheet and RWA using strong business narrative which is fed into Investor relations and annual report presentations.
- Take responsibility for the quality of work submitted and ensure that the highest standards are maintained.
- Ensure adherence to SLA's, KPI's , Internal metrics & FMG wide policies.
- Identify/ manage risk and control breakdowns.
- Develop & Maintain effective and standard processes. Maintain KOP's/DI's.
- Support change project initiatives and conduct User Acceptance Testing for enhancements to current systems or migration to new system.
Skills and Experience
- Coordinating, driving and directing effective compliance by embedding an effective Risk Management Framework (RMF) & Process Universe to ensure all areas manage operational risks in a proactive, risk based and disciplined manner.
- Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, by performing periodic assessment and monitoring activities (CST & KCI) as well as timely identification, escalation and resolution of risk issues
- Ensure compliant with Operational Risk policies, procedures, and applicable
- To provide a focal point of control over the aggregate level of operational risk in the functions that arises from end to end processes, including the design of effective controls and the systematic monitoring of process control effectiveness.
- To exercise direct Risk Control Ownership / Process owner for Operational Risk and ensure risks of processing failure are being actively controlled on an end-to-end basi
- Regular face off with Traders, Product Control Management, Regional finance team and various internal stakeholders within GFS.
- Act as a point of reference for team members and internal clients.
- Manage relationship with internal stakeholders, take regular feedback, anticipate and understand issues and escalate appropriately for timely resolution
- Manage strong relationship with support teams (IT, Operations and Risk) and bring synergies by interacting and integrating with cross functional teams
