SC Ventures is Standard Chartered’s innovation, fintech investment and ventures arm. We were established to reinvent banking, as the significant technological disruptions to the industry was impacting its ability to serve clients and customers, in the ways they needed to be served.
We are a unique ecosystem of innovators, banking experts, business builders and partners who are focused on rewiring the DNA in banking and bringing breakthrough ideas to scale, together.
We are building ecosystems around four high conviction themes: Online Economy & Lifestyle, SMEs & World Trade, Digital Assets, and Sustainability & Inclusion.
We are a global team of "Members" (excluding individual ventures), including dedicated colleagues from the Group's support functions, based in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, and the United Arab Emirates
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
• Lead content strategy and execution across digital channels, design and execute signature events (both online and offline), in collaboration with the broader platform and portfolio, to drive awareness, growth and engagement
• Integrate both content and events as part of a broader funnel marketing strategy to help nurture leads from target audience segments, for both the platform and ventures
Business
Content Marketing
• Create digital content marketing strategy and supporting execution roadmap across web, social, newsletters, and thought leadership platforms
• Develop compelling, high-quality content that showcases our brand, story, partnerships and ventures, executed through a detailed content calendar
• Evaluate current baseline of content and establish best-in-class standards, through competitive reviews
• Help create content/calendar templates for scaling with ventures
• Build clear understanding of target audience segments, their content preferences and channels to access them
• Manage content creation sources – whether internal team, agencies, designers and influencers/partners to help fill content gaps
• Identify key channels (online, social media) for content amplification and tailor content accordingly
• Implement SEO best practices
• Explore new digital innovation formats & channels for content dissemination
• Review content performance on regular basis and optimize as needed
• Maintain content governance and best practice standards
Events Marketing
• Design and execute events that strengthen our ecosystem – across a wide range of channels and formats
• Oversee all aspects of event planning; concept, partnerships, programming, logistics and promotion
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and partners to deliver high impact experiences
• Leverage event content for ongoing marketing and brand storytelling
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Other Responsibilities
• Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in the business and SC Ventures;
• Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in content and event marketing, ideally in a venture/startup environment
• High level of writing and storytelling skills, with an eye for tone, structure ad brand consistency
• Proven experience in planning and executing events that drive engagement and business impact
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Self-starter, ability to work and thrive within a fast-paced, culturally diverse and evolving environment
