TITLE: Credit Analyst
LOCATION: New York, NY
DUTIES: Responsible for the front-to-end BCA (Business Credit Analysis) process of assigned accounts as primary analyst by performing independent, forward-looking credit analysis of current and prospective clients and act as a secondary analyst as needed. Provide rating and limits recommendation based on the analysis. Serve as a Credit Analyst point of contact during deal underwriting, working closely with clients, relationship managers, legal and internal teams to manage internal compliance, booking and funding process. Plan and conduct the overall credit process and proactive monitoring of credit events for assigned accounts. Keep up to date with industry news/events and possible impacts on the assigned accounts. Evaluate and understand risk associated with individual transactions, products, borrowers and counterparties. Ensure compliance of all internal and regulatory credit/other portfolio related policies in conjunction with GAM (Global Account Manager). Monitor Risk Triggers, Covenants and other credit conditions and ad hoc credit reports appropriately. Monitor, in conjunction with Funds Risk, ISDA NAV triggers and track the evolution of client performance and risk profiles over time. Ensure Zero BCA overdue and work to minimize extensions. Ensuring compliance with all internal and regulatory credit/other portfolio related policies in conjunction with Global Relationship Managers (GAM). Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Standard Chartered Bank policy.
REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Negotiating credit terms for International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), Credit Support Annex (CSA) and Global Master Repurchase (GMRA) agreements; Working with internal and external counterparties, including legal counsels, peer banks, and investors to analyze credit risk of clients; Monitoring industry developments and credit events within U.S and Latin America markets; Performing financial statements and credit analysis using client management systems, including assigning internal credit ratings and recommending credit limits based on the bank's risk appetite; Analyzing credit risks of emerging markets and U.S capital products and services including lending products, trade products, corporate finance offerings, financial markets business; Facilitating execution of transaction based upon knowledge of Latin America and U.S markets environment and regulations.
SALARY: $150,000/year-$155,000/year
HOURS: Full time; Mon – Fri (40 hours per week) EOE.
