Job Summary

We're looking for a Data Scientist to work onsite within our Digital Bank. We're a small, but growing venture, with new and exciting problems to solve. We work in project-based sprints in small, interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

•    Develop and implement actionable analytics and data science models with relevant stakeholders 
•    Run and execute those platforms: 
o    By creating predictive models and machine-learning algorithms for marketing models 
o    By building and maintaining the behavioural segmentation 
o    By delivering the dashboards and reports that make data actionable 
•    Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering techniques. 
•    Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis 
•    Extending company's data with third party sources of information when needed 
•    Crunch, mine and analyse data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies. 
•    Use predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, other business outcomes. 
•    Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques 
•    Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy. 
•    Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner 
•    Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance 
•    Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns 
•    Present information using data visualization techniques 
•    Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges 
•    Present proposals and results in a clear manner backed by data and coupled with actionable conclusions.

Skills and Experience

Our Ideal Candidate:
•    5 years of experience in manipulating data sets and building statistical models, ideally within a high growth start up or digital business. 
•    Possesses a Master's or PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field. 
•    Expertise in working with Large Language Models, particularly GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) variants. 
•    Understanding of generative models, deep learning, and natural language processing techniques. 
•    Experience with a variety of machine learning techniques (supervised, unsupervised, anomaly detection, deep learning, NLP, RecSys etc) and understanding their real-world advantages / drawbacks. 
•    Proven experience as a Data Scientist with past history of successfully delivering end-to-end data science projects (business understanding, EDA, modelling, deployment, monitoring, etc). 
•    Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. 
•    Experience using data science related languages/tools (Python, SQL, Spark etc) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets. 
•    Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Domo, Tableau, Data Studio)  
•    Experience with cloud technologies (AWS and GCP etc) 
•    Have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams. 
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills 
•    Experience in Agile ways of working and familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Slack etc
