Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    Senior Technical Manager with 14-18 years of experience in managing technical deliveries for a development team. This role involves leading a team of highly motivated DevOps engineers, Designer and Release managers as a service line to the Hive. The ideal candidate should have skills to navigate various technologies such as Infrastructure (Firewall & Load balancer requests), certificate upgrade, technology book of work execution, security remediation for non-compliance.

•    Cloud & Kubernetes Management:
•    Manage deployments on Kubernetes clusters on AWS, Vanilla Kubernetes.
•    Monitoring, Observability & Security:
•    Integrate with enterprise-grade monitoring using Prometheus, ELK, and custom alerting solutions.
•    Infrastructure Architecture & Automation:
•    Oversee the deployment of Kafka, Hazelcast, and ELK on cloud and on-prem environments.
•    Leadership & Strategic Initiatives:
•    Lead a group of highly motivated engineers
•    Drive Hive Technical projects.
•    Lead data canter migration and hybrid cloud adoption strategies.
•    Lead last-mile integration discussions with Regulators.
•    Drive Security best practices across the Hive, including remediation of security non-compliance.
 
Business

•    Interfacing with business stakeholders for requirements management, prioritisation and documentation
•    Translate Product and business requirements into Solution Design and Technical Design artifacts. 

Key Responsibilities

Processes

•    Interacting with the technical team to ensure that the requirements are clear and well understood.
•    Work with the delivery / implementation teams to provide domain inputs and to ensure delivery and implementation of the proposed solution into Solution Design and Implementation methodologies.
•    Ability to work in Waterfall, Iterative or Agile methodology of SDLC,
•    Ensure adherence to standardized cloud and infra structure deployment processes, optimizing automation, security and scalability. 
•    Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.


People & Talent 

•    May also take on Chapter Leadership as long as he/she is an active practitioner in the craft of the Chapter that they lead; i.e., has full accountability to the growth of the Chapter, and not solely an line management responsibility.
•    Employ, engage and retain high quality talent that the team is adequately staffed and skilled to deliver on business commitments.
•    Work on upskilling of technical expertise in line with latest market trend.
•    Mentoring and training the squad on technical skills.
•    Work with Hive Tech Lead to ensure the agreed blend and balance of in-house and vendor resources.


Risk Management

•    Mitigate delivery risks and issues, and ensure quality, affordability, and scope of delivery.
•    Act as the risk control owner under the Group’s risk management framework at the appropriate level.

Governance 

Address tech compliance (ESDLC) requirements through the delivery lifecycle (design reviews, security reviews, code reviews, SAT, OAT, etc.) with support from HTL(Hive Tech Lead) / PO / CPO (Chief Product Owner).

Skills and Experience

•    AWS / Azure Services, Kubernetees, Linux
•    Monitoring Tools – Prometheus, CloudWatch, Grafana
•    Scripting languages – Python/Shell
•    Kafka, Hazelcast, Elastic Search
•    DB- PostgreSQL / Oracle
•    Security – Vulnerability and Patch Management, Network segmentation, IDS and IPS
 

Qualifications

•    Education     Be / mca / msc in computer science 
•    Certifications     Aws solutions architect, ckad/cka, or azure certifications preferred
