Job Summary

Roles 

•    Manage end to end underwriting processes of loan applications within TAT
•    Review, recommend and approve credit limits within assigned authority ensuring adherence to all applicable credit approval procedures.
•    Ensure full compliance with Group Credit Policies and Process Standards. Dispensations or any gaps must be well supported and approved on a timely basis. CADs and CCPMs are renewed on timely basis.
•    Design, maintain and effectively communicate risk control parameters across the Unsecured Lending, Retail Credit, including policies, control standards, risk exposure limits and other control levers in order to maintain the business's risk profile in line with the Group's risk appetite
•    Recommend credit proposals up to the relevant sanctioning level.
•    Adherence to the operating guidelines, procedure, and policies of the Secured product. 
•    Should be responsible for processing credit applications within assigned territories for possible approval and to assign credit limits and conditions of sale
•    Liaise between sales and credit team
•    To visit customers (offices/premises) whenever necessary to obtain more in-depth and accurate information; 
•    To perform credit reviews and analysis of credit applications.
•    Maintain an open and cooperative relationship in dealings with regulators
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Ensure full compliance with Group Credit Policies and Process Standards. Dispensations or any gaps must be well supported and approved on a timely basis. Collaboration with Risk team to review CADs and CCPMs on timely basis and to highlight any gap/suggestion.
•    Design, maintain and effectively communicate risk control parameters across the Unsecured Lending, Retail Credit, including policies, control standards, risk exposure limits and other control levers in order to maintain the business's risk profile in line with the Group's risk appetite
•    Recommend credit proposals up to the relevant sanctioning level.
•    Adherence to the operating guidelines, procedure, and policies of the Personal Loan/Credit Card product. 
•    Should be responsible for processing credit applications within assigned territories for possible approval and to assign credit limits and conditions of sale
•    Liaise between sales and credit team
•    To visit customers (offices/premises) whenever necessary to obtain more in-depth and accurate information. 
•    To perform credit reviews and analysis of credit applications.

Qualifications

  • University Degree with major in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related disciplines.
  • Sound knowledge of all aspects of credit industry.
  • Good credit sense / credit judgment with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Sound knowledge of retail lending products, SCB procedures/related policies, banking practices / regulations
  • At least 1/2 years' experience/training in credit / financial analysis, preferably with debt collection experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skill
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills with awareness of local economic and business / legal environment    
  • In Depth knowledge of documentation, credit norms, and risk assessment
