Job Description: 

Job Summary

Strategy
•    Achieve monitoring and review excellence by building team competencies, disciplined planning, and maximizing efficiency of Sales in terms of both quality & quantity
•    Discipline of hosting regular Outbound Team meetings as an effective strategic decisioning forum. 
•    Support Outbound Team projects and drive country project execution and implementation. 

Business
•    Support Associate Director of Outbound in translating Retail Banking agendas into detailed execution plans.
•    Discipline review on processes and reinforcement to teams.
•    Develop necessary measures and controls on processes and budgeting to upgrade governance standards.
•    Close monitoring and analysis on Operational processes.

Processes
•    Identify areas for process improvement and recommend ways to increase functional effectiveness and improve operational efficiencies
•    Responsible for implementation of the Key Control Self-Assessment (KCSA)/Control Sample Testing (CST) processes, sampling and testing the population of controls to ensure compliance with agreed control standards as well as facilitating the monitoring/collection of any Key Control or Risk Indicators.
•    Support and provide guidance to the Responsible Person to ensure integrity, quality and completeness in the execution of KCSA and CST. 
•    Ensure risks, issues and control enhancement identified in Phoenix are resolved in appropriate and timely manner. 
•    Ensure that all operational gaps are reconciled and closed in a timely manner.

People & Talent
•    Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.  Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
•    Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
•    Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
•    Monitor assigned jobs are completed on a timely manner for the team

Risk Management
•    Source of reference within the business and functional units in facilitating and promoting the understanding of OR Framework.
•    Provide leadership around Risk Management, both reputational and operational to ensure they are proactively identified and mitigated in country and all issues are timely reported/escalated in line with Group and local policies and procedures
•    Support and drive the implementation of ORF initiatives and roll out of the OR Target Operating Model.
•    Responsible for recording and maintaining operational risks in the risk tracking system (Excel), in accordance with Group Operational Risk Procedures.

Governance
•    Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of team’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, support changes in these areas
•    Ensure adherence to the Risk Management Framework, Group Code of Conduct and various Policies, Procedures and Guidelines of the Bank by the country and group V&V teams, enforcing the associated policies and procedures

Regulatory & Business Conduct
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
