Title: Senior Officer, Reconciliation

JOB SUMMARY
This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities within the financial domain, focusing on data analytics, financial governance, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance management. Key duties include:
• Data Analytics: Utilizing analytical tools and techniques to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Financial Governance: Ensuring adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain the integrity of financial operations.
• Reconciliation: Preparing and analysing reconciliation statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Financial Reporting: Compiling and presenting financial reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accuracy in financial disclosures.
• Financial Compliance Management: Overseeing compliance with financial regulations and standards, mitigating risks, and preventing financial losses.
Additionally, the role requires significant interaction and liaison with both internal and external stakeholders to address issues related to financial loss, risk management, and compliance, ensuring that all financial activities are conducted within the established regulatory framework.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
Plan, Control and Execute Country Business Support & Risk Management Strategy for Bank with the guidance and functional Managers.
Business
Drive reconciliation function related activity to Operations Reconciliation in Bangladesh
To initiate Reconciliation support to Operations Reconciliation Team.
In addition to the above
• Directly responsible for implementation and adherence of the Group and Bangladesh Bank’s policies, procedures, service standards, performance measurements, which support the Operations Reconciliation Unit, Bangladesh.
• To ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
Processes
• Ensure the unit operates in accordance with the Group guidelines and within risk parameters using standardised procedures and processes to ensure that the best practices are always adapted and migrated.
• Monitor the department to provide reconciliation support to Operations Reconciliation Bangladesh Unit.
People & Talent
Train, plan succession planning, multitask Compliance staff, provide them opportunities for growth and better channels of communications and build a team culture amongst senior managers, and entire Bank, and thereby to all unit staff.
• Have open channels of communication with staff.
• Maintain high levels of motivation amongst staff.
Risk Management
• Enhance the control environment to minimise operational risk
• Identify processing risks or inefficiencies and implement appropriate and effective changes.
• Escalate reconciliation issues as and when required as per the escalation grid
Governance
Ensure compliance with the Laws of the land, implement, and exercise local banking regulations, and build strong relationships with the Central Bank.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
