Title: Senior Officer, Specialized Collections

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
• Set and implement the vision, action plan, direction and leadership for Specialized Collections team in consistent with Line Manager, Unit Head of Specialized Collections and Head, WRB Collections & Recoveries, Bangladesh. Align with goals for the function and in support of the Bank’s strategic directions and growth aspirations.
• Promote the culture and practice of Collections Process Standard within the Bank and embed a “Here for Good” culture and the Group Code of Conducts.
• Establish close links with colleagues of functions to achieve common platforms and work plans for implementing a One Bank approach to covering all clients.
Business
• Dealing with suits/cases in Court and taking necessary actions by representing the Bank as and when required.
• Visiting Court on regular basis to perform necessary actionable on Bank’s recovery suits/cases.
• Communicating with Bank’s empanelled law firms on day-to-day court-case related matters for litigated accounts.
• Preparing loan statements by using RLS, Cards 400, eBBS, e-statement etc. which to be submitted in Court in a timely manner as per Court order.
• Drafting and printing “Authorization Letter” for filing and withdrawing case from Court and obtaining endorsement on the same.
• Extracting loan documents from DMS and ICDMS for MORT, LAP/SFAP & BWC (Secured) products for producing in Court.
• Collecting original documents from Loan & Card Operations by checking one by one for submitting the same in Court before judgment/decree.
• Sorting case-wise required document from the bunch. In case of any missing document, escalating the same to Loan or Card Operations for fulfilling documents.
• After collection from Court, providing Pay Order, copy of plaint, CTC of decree/judgment, Warrant of Arrest etc. to the team where customers are surrendering in Court by depositing 25% suit value.
• Post judgment/decree/case withdrawal, collecting earlier submitted original documents from Court’s record room. Sending back the same to the custodian (Record Management Team) of Loan or Card Operations.
• Follow up Chattogram team to expedite collection of original documents from Loan Operations as and when required by the Court.
• Collecting “Vokalatnama” from law firms for sign-off by the Bank’s authorized personnel and send back the same to law firm accordingly.
• Liaison with media vendor to publish summon notices and arrange to submit the same before Court in a timely manner.
• Collect copies of plaint or case evidence from law firms and sorting and handover them to respective team for incremental recovery.
• Updating legal status in CACS after filing lawsuit. Checking and complying end-to-end process for approval of legal bills before approval and raising in e-Proc system.
• As per ORF control, CST & KCI related functions with Collections & Recovery.
• Provide support to various incoming customers regarding their queries on lawsuits/legal cases.

Qualifications
• LL.B. (Honours) with LL.M. degree from any reputed university.
• Membership of Bangladesh Bar Council will be considered as an added qualification.
• At least 02 (Two) years’ working experience in a Bank/Financial Institution or in a reputed law firm in the country.
• Good communication, interpersonal and organization skills.
• Able to timely manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
