Job Summary
• Be part of FCSO TM Solutions team responsible for managing Analytics and Data Science initiatives/ activities for FCSO Transaction Monitoring function
• Provide the necessary skillset to advance the usage/implementation of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques/processes in financial crime space and address current process/ control gaps
Domain Responsibilities
• The role requires strategic thinking and technical expert with a strong background in financial crime detection and prevention, specifically using advanced analytical methodologies. This role requires hands-on expertise to design, develop and deploy analytics/models to detect suspicious activities and financial crime. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, a strategic mindset for enhancing Transaction Monitoring effectiveness, and good familiarity with the compliance regulations in financial sector.
• Supports end-to-end threshold tuning lifecycle including segmentation, statistical tuning, PPP/FPP validation, and BTL validation.
• Executes optimisation model management activities including back testing and performance validation aligned to risk tolerance.
• Delivers TM Annual Health Review through data extraction, analytics, and reporting for FCC/FCSO stakeholders.
• Contributes to strategic programmes including CASA tuning, FSS segmentation, and TBML/TFRM (Quantexa) rollout
• Performs BAU TM control activities including GNS rule writing, watchlist impact assessment, TSaaS execution, and ad-hoc analytics.
• Executes Bangladesh data-dependent activities requiring in-country system access due to data sovereignty constraints.
• Perform data exploration, feature engineering and ensuring models are accurate, efficient and scalable
• Improve processes such as threshold tuning, reconciliation, segmentation, optimisation etc. associated with the Transaction Monitoring function across products such as CASA, Trade, Credit Cards, Securities and Financial Markets.
• Support in design of different scenario models, development and validation including data quality validation, model effectiveness, rules logic for effective risk analytics.
• The role holder is accountable for ensuring all processes/ models follow Bank’s governance process including Model Risk Policy Governance and Risk Based Rule review.
• Knowledge of core banking, payment, CDD, securities and other systems and interplay/linkages between them. Understand business domain aspects relevant to AML Monitoring and Case Management.
• Able to conceptualize, design, support and align relevant processes and controls to industry best practice, and close out any compliance gaps

• Builds domain expertise in AML, TM analytics, and model governance within FCSO TM Solutions.
• Collaborates with FCSO, FCC, and country stakeholders to support analytical and tuning deliverables.
• Contributes to knowledge documentation and continuous capability development within the team
Risk Management
• Ensures tuning and analytics activities align with GTMS standards and defined risk tolerance.
• Contributes to maintaining adequate coverage across TM scenarios and portfolios
Governance
• Maintains clear documentation and audit trail for tuning decisions, model outputs, and validation activities.
• Supports governance processes including internal review, model validation, and audit engagement requirements.

Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Transaction Monitoring design and development
• Background in deploying AI/ML models within TM or compliance environment with solid understanding of AML/CFT regulations.
• Post Graduate degree in Management/Statistics/Mathematics OR Graduate degree in Engineering from a reputed institution.
• Strong coding skills in Python, R, SQL and familiarity with data engineering practices for model integration.
