Job Summary
The Sub Lead - Direct Tax Reporting will be supporting the Direct tax reporting lead in managing the preparation, review and submission of corporate income tax returns and related direct tax reporting obligations across jurisdictions. This role involves ensuring compliance with all local and international tax regulations, optimizing tax reporting processes, and providing strategic tax planning advice. The role ensures accurate reporting, regulatory compliance and effective Tax management within the Bank’s Tax function. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in direct tax reporting and a deep understanding of global tax regulations
Key Responsibilities
• Direct Tax Reporting:
• Prepare and review corporate Income tax returns and related filings across various jurisdictions.
• Support the preparation of Tax provisions in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS, Local GaaP).
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax-related documents to comply with local and international regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and global Tax policies.
• Perform or consolidate the reconciliations between tax reports, general ledger and source systems (liaise across different Data/Application management functions within Tax).
• Develop and maintain Tax reporting procedures and controls.
• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations.
• Support preparation of Tax disclosures in financial reports.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to tax compliance standards.
• Monitor strong internal controls and governance over tax reporting processes.
• Support Tax auditors, regulatory reviews and inquiries related to Direct Tax Reporting.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for all tax filings.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Support the Tax lead in Coordinating with global tax leads across regions on the Direct Tax Reporting matters.
• Act as the liaison between Country Tax teams, external Vendors and the Internal Application support and Data streams.
• Collaborate with External auditors, Tax advisors and Finance teams.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tax reporting.
• Leverage technology and automation to streamline tax processes.
• Support in Developing and delivering training programs to enhance the tax knowledge and skills of the team.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and develop a team responsible for Direct Tax reporting activities and a team of tax professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the tax team.
• Provide guidance and support for professional development and career growth of team members.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

Qualifications
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field (e.g., CPA, CTA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in tax reporting, with a focus on Direct taxes, preferably within a multinational organization or financial institution.
• Extensive knowledge of international tax laws and regulations.
• Proven experience in managing tax compliance and reporting processes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of tax accounting principles and practices
