Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Director, Cross-Asset Corporate Sales in Markets.

The individual we are looking for needs to be highly motivated, ambitious and business minded for being able to take a senior role in our multi-product Financial Markets Corporate Sales team in Frankfurt, Germany.
The key focus of this role will be to take the lead on developing and executing the strategy to drive growth across Nordic corporate clients globally, while at the same time belong and contributing to a high-performing regional team covering Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Nordics, and CEE.
You will act as a trusted advisor to corporate clients, delivering tailored financial markets solutions across asset classes, while strengthening long-term relationships and driving revenue performance. This role combines strategic leadership, client origination, and hands-on execution in a dynamic, cross-border environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Nordics corporate client coverage strategy globally, both strategically and day-to-day
  • Act as the primary Financial Markets contact for key corporate clients
  • Drive revenue growth by achieving annual sales targets across FX, Rates, Money Markets, Commodities, and FM Lending
  • Originate new client relationships and expand existing portfolios
  • Build and deepen relationships with senior client stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Deliver market insights and tailored solutions to support client decision-making
  • Develop and execute client engagement strategies aligned with business needs
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities across broader banking products
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders including: Relationship Management, Financial Solutions, Cash Management, Trade & Credit, DCM, Research, and Trading teams
  • Collaborate across regions to deliver seamless global client coverage
  • Execute trades and manage client orders in line with global policies and best execution standards
  • Facilitate deal origination and engage structuring teams for optimal client solutions
  • Monitor client trading limits and ensure appropriate approvals
  • Deliver against full-year revenue and product mix targets (P3 objectives)
  • Maintain detailed client account plans and identify growth opportunities
  • Drive automation and innovation in product delivery
  • Ensure efficient, compliant processes aligned with internal and external regulations

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in Financial Markets Sales with a strong cross-asset background
  • Proven track record in corporate client coverage and revenue generation
  • Deep understanding of: FX, Interest Rates, Money Markets, Commodities, Lending products
  • Strong network within Nordic corporate clients (highly desirable)
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Demonstrated success in client origination and relationship development
  • Experience leading strategic client initiatives or regional coverage
  • Strong collaboration skills across functions, geographies, and seniority levels
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of market structure, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with RWA optimisation and return metrics (RORWA) is advantageous
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capability
  • Highly driven, results-oriented, and client-focused
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and operational discipline

Language Requirements

  • Fluent English
  • Fluent German OR fluency in one or more Nordic languages (highly desirable)
