We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to join our Data/Analytics/ Performance Management team. This critical role will be at the forefront of driving data-led transformation, operational excellence, and strategic insights within our core banking operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of banking processes, coupled with exceptional analytical capabilities and a proven track record of implementing significant operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
•    Strategic Data Leadership: Lead the strategy and execution of data-driven initiatives within operations, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and enhanced decision-making.
•   Insights & Analytics: Develop and implement robust analytical frameworks to extract meaningful insights from operational data. Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for senior management to optimize performance, reduce risk, and improve customer experience.
•   Operational Excellence: Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across functions. Identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for automation, leading improvement projects from conception to completion.
•   Transformation & Change Management: Spearhead large-scale transformation projects, leveraging data and technology to re-engineer processes, implement new systems, and enhance overall efficiency. Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new methodologies and tools.
•   Banking Domain Expertise: Apply extensive knowledge of banking operations (e.g., payments, trade finance, account services, reconciliations, loan operations) to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics for monitoring and improvement.

•    ETL & Visualization Tool Proficiency: Leverage a strong understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility. Expertly utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, MSTR) to create compelling narratives through dashboards and reports for various stakeholders.
•    Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, product development, and front-office operations. Mentor and guide junior team members on data analysis, operational best practices, and transformation methodologies.
•    Stakeholder Management: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, effectively communicating complex analytical concepts and gaining buy-in for strategic initiatives.
•    Business & Technical Translation: Act as a key liaison, translating complex business challenges and requirements from Product Owners into clear, actionable technical specifications and impactful metrics.
•    Product & Process ownership: Define and communicate the vision, scope, business case and efficiency impact for new initiatives. Provide expert guidance on product and process design to ensure successful delivery of change including identifying process gaps, assessing inherited risks, and designing control mechanisms.

Skills and Experience

•    Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience in Banking Operations, with a significant focus on data analysis, operational excellence, and transformation initiatives.
•    Proven expertise in data analysis, data modelling, and statistical techniques.
•    Strong understanding of banking processes and products across various functions.
•    Experience with Data operation concepts and tools. Familiarity with specific data tools (e.g., DataIku, SAS, Alteryx) is a plus.
•    Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MSTR, or similar.
•    Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering significant operational transformation projects.
•    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
•    Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
•    Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
