Job Summary
This role is a subject matter expert in implementing various detective Communication Surveillance monitoring controls, which are designed to detect potential instances of market abuse, misselling and non-public information risks. The incumbent is responsible for leading all AI/ML model implementation, finetuning and ongoing monitoring, adhering with the Bank’s model risk management and Responsible AI framework in implementation of advanced analytical solutions for the integrated Communication Surveillance programme.

• Identify key issues of the workstreams assigned and work towards resolving, if not escalating where required
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure risks are comprehensively identified, assessed and managed.
• Support all control checks approved by Operational Risk Framework (ORF) & be accountable for identification and escalation of potential risks and issues to senior management through appropriate governance channels and the Quality Assurance framework

• Responsible for operating various detective communication surveillance monitoring controls, which are designed to detect potential instances of market abuse, misselling and non-public information risks.

• Understanding the Group’s business strategy as well as Compliance mandate in supporting the business
• Subject matter expert of Surveillance applications, models and analytics in the department

• Lead compliance with the Bank’s model risk management framework, policies, standards and Responsible AI for the programme in implementation of advanced analytical solutions
• Lead all AI model implementation, finetuning and ongoing monitoring for the integrated Communication Surveillance programme
• Techno-functional expert who is a critical bridging role between Technology, Strategy and Digital Transformation (Change team) and Surveillance business users.
• BaU issues and enhancements – Ensure surveillance models and systems run reliably.
• Key point of contact for audit and regulatory inspections/exams within Communication Surveillance Analytics team – Lead and support the audit and regulatory inspections process (RFI, documentation, action items etc.)
• Pro-active identification of risks and concerns, including escalation to all relevant stakeholders
• Timely mitigation and resolution of risks and issues, establishments of effective controls, in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate with stakeholders in instilling process discipline and oversight to ensure proper lining up of book of work aligned with Surveillance priorities
• Continuous pursuit of simplification, optimization and automation through thoughtful design, doing things right from the get-go, enhancing current deficiencies to bring about efficiency, eliminating current pain points and mitigating production issues

• Support the delivery of key priorities and initiatives aligned to the Surveillance Compliance scorecard

Our Ideal Candidate
• 10+ years’ experience as a Techno-functional expert who is a critical bridging role between Technology, Strategy and Digital Transformation (Change team) and Surveillance business users.
