Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    As part of the Group T&O Delivery Governance function, this role supports the T&O Delivery portfolio by driving strong governance, financial discipline, and stakeholder management across investment programs.
•    The role acts as the primary interface with Group Investment Management (GIM), ensuring high-quality submissions, accurate financial tracking, and timely decision support.
•    It focuses on execution excellence across portfolio reporting, financial governance, and program follow-ups.
•    This is a senior, hands‑on individual contributor role requiring strong strategic judgement, analytical rigour, and the ability to influence across programmes, functions and leadership forums.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Support translation of T&O and Group investment priorities into structured portfolio submissions and governance materials.
•    Provide analytical input to inform investment decisions, highlighting trade-offs, risks, and financial implications.
•    Ensure alignment of program submissions with agreed portfolio priorities, funding constraints, and governance expectations.

Business

•    Act as a key interface with Group Investment Management (GIM) and related governance forums.
•    Coordinate end-to-end submission of investment asks, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
•    Track portfolio-level financials including CtA, Opex/Capex mix, forecasts, and benefits.
•    Identify variances, inconsistencies, and gaps in programme inputs, and drive resolution with stakeholders.
•    Support senior management with concise, data-backed insights for decision-making.

Processes

•    Drive disciplined execution of portfolio governance processes across planning, submission, and review cycles (e.g., CP, QPR, funding reviews).
•    Establish and enforce clear timelines, milestones, and submission standards across program teams.
•    Coordinate follow-ups and ensure closure of actions from governance forums (GIM, QPR, SteerCos).
•    Continuously improve portfolio governance processes to enhance efficiency, transparency, and data quality.
•    Drive timely follow-ups and hold program teams accountable for submission quality, completeness and deadlines. 

Data Quality 
•    Ensure integrity, accuracy, and completeness of portfolio data across systems (e.g., Clarity, Finance inputs, program submissions).
•    Reconcile financial and delivery data across multiple sources to maintain a consistent single source of truth.
•    Challenge data gaps and inconsistencies, and drive corrective actions with program teams.
•    Support development of reliable reporting and dashboards for senior management and governance forums.

People and Talent
•    Build effective working relationships with program teams, finance partners, and governance stakeholders.
•    Provide guidance to program teams on governance expectations, submission quality, and financial discipline.
•    Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and delivery discipline across the portfolio.

Risk Management
•    Identify and escalate risks related to financial forecasts, funding gaps, submission quality, and delivery dependencies.
•    Track and follow up on key portfolio risks, issues, and interdependencies across programmes.
•    Ensure timely escalation of risks impacting governance decisions or investment outcomes.

Governance

•    Support preparation of high-quality governance materials for GIM, QPR, SteerCos, and other forums.
•    Ensure all submissions meet required governance standards, with clear rationale, assumptions, and financial backing.
•    Maintain traceability of decisions, actions, and approvals across governance forums.
•    Drive strong governance discipline, ensuring timely and well-structured engagement with stakeholders.

Qualifications

•    EDUCATION: Professional formal education 
•    TRAINING: Project management, Data analytics / tools, AI basics, Advanced excel
•    CERTIFICATIONS: PMP preferred

•    10+ years of experience in portfolio governance, PMO, or finance partnering within large transformation environments.
•    Strong financial acumen with ability to analyse CtA, Opex/Capex, forecasts, and benefits, and identify gaps or inconsistencies.
•    Proven ability to manage investment governance processes and engage effectively with senior stakeholders and finance teams.
•    High execution discipline with a track record of driving timely submissions, follow-ups, and closure of actions across teams.
•    Structured thinker with strong attention to detail, able to translate complex inputs into clear, high-quality outputs.
•    Confident communicator who can challenge constructively and influence stakeholders while maintaining strong working relationships.
•    Self-driven and accountable, with the ability to operate independently under tight timelines in a fast-paced
