RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy

  • Support overall M&A strategy

Business

  • Perform financial and valuation analyses using various methodologies
  • Build detailed financial models to evaluate performance under various operating scenarios and to analyse the impacts on potential M&A transactions
  • Participate in all stages of transaction executions, from the pitch phase through to closing
  • Coordinate efforts with deal team members across the Bank, other advisers, and the clients
  • Involved in day-to-day project management and execution support
  • Research and analysis of markets and industries 
  • Research and financial analysis of companies based on company information, research reports, and other information sources 
  • Prepare presentation materials for use in client meetings, covering topics such as strategic alternatives, capital markets activity and general corporate finance

  • Lead by example and build the appropriate culture and values

Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with SCB internal policies and procedures
  • Identify any key risks and escalate to line manager or to other stakeholders, where appropriate

  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
  • Take individual responsibility to ensure risk-taking is disciplined and focused

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Qualification

  • Education: Degree or post graduate qualified from a top-tier school 
  • Professional Qualifications: Experience in the banking industry 
  • Key Skills:
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and a passion for excellence
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting  
  • Ability to deliver under time pressure 
  • Prior experience in M&A transactions would be considered a plus
