Job Summary

The Business Manager, Coverage MEA, will partner closely with the Cluster Head of Business Management and Coverage leadership across the Middle East and Africa to drive business performance, strategic execution, governance, and organisational effectiveness. The role will support the execution of key business priorities across the franchise, including business planning, performance management, strategic initiatives, governance, executive communications, people agenda and management reporting. Working across multiple countries and stakeholders, the Business Manager will act as a central coordination point between Coverage, Product, Finance, HR, Risk and COO teams to ensure effective execution of regional priorities.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate strategic objectives into tangible business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Coverage leadership to drive execution of strategic priorities and business objectives across Middle East & Africa.
  • Lead business planning, budgeting and Corporate Plan processes, ensuring alignment with cluster and Group priorities.
  • Monitor franchise performance across revenue, client, productivity, capital and cost metrics, identifying risks, opportunities and required management actions.
  • Prepare business reviews, management presentations, executive updates and other materials for senior leadership forums.
  • Drive governance, management routines and follow-through on key actions, decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery across Coverage, Product, Risk, Finance, HR and COO teams to support business priorities.
  • Support portfolio optimisation, client segmentation, financial planning, portfolio hygiene and other initiatives that improve franchise performance and client coverage effectiveness.
  • Provide actionable business insights through performance analysis, management information and frontline reporting.
  • Support leadership communications, employee engagement and franchise-wide initiatives that strengthen alignment, collaboration and execution across Middle East & Africa.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Strong understanding of Corporate & Investment Banking clients, products and business drivers.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong proficiency in business performance management, executive reporting and strategic planning.
  • Fluent English, Arabic is a plus.
  • Experience tracking revenues, client portfolios, pipelines, KPIs, and business performance.
  • Problem solving skills to co-create client strategy, drive root-cause analysis, analyse business performance, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills in networking, influencing and decision making.
  • Highly proactive, demonstrating ambition, dedication, and pride in work.
  • Willing to challenge the status quo, comfortable interacting with senior management.
