Job Description: 

Job Summary

To assist and advise the Global Head GSAC and Regional Head of EMEA, PvB in all aspects of his role. Provide a key point of contact for any matters relating to the region for stakeholders across the Group. The job holder needs to display exemplary business acumen and interpersonal skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in developing and driving the delivery of an integrated strategy for all businesses in the region. Support the Regional Head to drive the development and execution of overall strategy and direction for the Region.
  • Work with the Regional Head to drive delivery of the priorities and strategy, regional scorecard, overall budget, financial and other performance targets
    and support delivery of consistent and high-quality service to Private Banking clients and facilitate a smooth working relationship of Front Office teams with support functions. 
  • Ensure appropriate prioritisation of issues around risk, control, investment, people, projects and change management within the market
  • Support in overseeing the business activities within the Market
  • Undertake specific business projects. 
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
  • This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

•    Experienced navigator of the organisation, with a good understanding of the Affluent business, strategy and purpose. 
•    Interest in and good understanding of macroeconomic, geopolitical and regulatory affairs.
