The Director, Digital Assets Portfolio Enablement will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the Group’s portfolio of Digital Asset (DA) initiatives across Standard Chartered. This role will work directly with initiative leads to understand and map their initiatives against the Group Digital Assets strategy, and create required visibility and awareness of approved initiatives in the Portfolio internally and externally as required to enable their execution. 

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Work with individual DA initiative leads, the Global Head of Digital Assets and Digital Asset leads across regions and business lines to support successful execution and delivery of approved DA portfolio initiatives in line with Group DA and Business Line DA strategy.
  • Understand the Digital Asset priorities for different DA initiatives in the portfolio and help create the needed visibility among internal risk or delivery stakeholders to ensure these are prioritised in alignment with potential commercial return. 
  • Ownership of first line implementation and operationalisation of the DA Higher Risk Framework and DA Initiative Notification process, including ongoing reporting of the resultant DA Portfolio and related management intelligence to risk committees and other stakeholders.
  • Work with Director, Tokens and Network to support implementation and execution of Cryptoasset Admission Framework as required.
  • Work across business lines and functions to identify blockers to execution and assist in aligning stakeholders to remove these, including by driving the appropriate (re)design of risk standards and processes to enable DA initiatives within the Bank.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Operations functions to ensure appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructure are in place to support efficiency in the enablement of DA Initiatives.
  • Drive support and collaboration for DA projects at all levels (senior and junior to you) and bring others on the DA journey. 
  • Contribute to the development of other tools and processes for the group such as the Cryptoasset Assessment framework, particularly where these intersect with the initiative/product development process. 
  • Work with the Global Research team to connect with relevant initiative leads on relevant thematic thought leadership.
  • Simplify complicated ideas into actionable, measurable pieces and communicate those ideas to key stakeholders to generate buy-in.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated market knowledge of Digital Assets, Crypto and Web3, ideally through work experience with a regulated institution. Fintech experience also considered favourably. 
  • Demonstrated experience with high growth companies in the execution of business plans and initiatives. 
  • Demonstrable experience working across large groups of complex stakeholders preferably including risk teams and/or regulators.
  • Excellent Presentation and PowerPoint skills 

Qualifications

  • Familiar with modern productivity tools, ADO, Teams, Slack, Trello, Mural, Jira, Confluence
  • Education: University graduate preferred    
  • Certifications: Relevent technology or crypto/blockchain certifications
  • Languages: Excellent spoken and written skills required
