About the Role
The Investment Advisor provides support to the Relationship Managers and their clients to meet the client’s desired investment objectives and increase bank’s share of wallet. The Investment Advisor plays a key role in providing the bank’s house views on markets and products and providing clients with investment solutions in line with their investment objectives and risk profile. The Investment Advisor helps in liaising with the product managers within the Wealth Management Product team on a regular basis to discuss client requirements and to ensure flow of product and market knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Assisting Affluent Segment - Relationship Managers in UAE to meet client’s desired investment objectives and assist in achievement of AUM growth and revenues from Investment products
• Responsible for updating the frontline and customers of the bank on the outlook published by the CIO Office with relevant and timely information on global Capital Markets, Asset Classes and route to market ideas
• To play a key role in liaising with the product managers within the WM product team (Managed Investments, Bancassurance, CMPS and WM Lending) on a regular and ad-hoc basis to ensure flow of client and market requirement.
• Ensure proper client coverage is provided to complete Portfolio Reviews of target clients as defined from time to time in addition to planning for New to Wealth client.
Business
• Determine client’s risk appetite, investment preference and return expectations by partnering with Relationship Managers in client meetings
• Partner with Relationship Managers and Unit Heads across the UAE franchise to deliver timely, relevant, and actionable investment advice to clients.
• Translate CIO house views, market outlooks, and cross-asset themes into suitable client propositions across funds, bonds, FX, structured products, alternatives, and wealth lending solutions.
• Lead portfolio reviews and provide independent, risk-aware recommendations to improve portfolio quality, diversification, asset allocation, and client outcomes.
• Drive the wealth advisory agenda by supporting AUM growth, product penetration, client activation, and disciplined execution of advisory priorities. Keep abreast of latest trends on Investment products, financial markets, consumer behaviours and use of technology in providing investment solutions
• Provide reports / analysis where required within the management framework.
Processes
• Engage with risk control owners and / or group policy owners for the implementation of policies and control standards set by them
• Ensure delivery of views and route to market ideas at highest standards to deliver excellent customer experience and minimize number of complaints
• Work with various stakeholders to focus on quality in delivery and turnaround time for end-to-end BAU to achieve efficiency and customer experience objectives.

Qualifications
• Postgraduate preffered
• Advisory experience required
• CFA, CFP, PFP, CAIA, FRM or CMT is preferred but not mandatory
• English and Arabic Preffered
