Job Summary

  • Business development and client acquisitions to Private Bank
  • Generate potential leads from Private Bank
  • Generate potential leads from other parts of bank e.g Commercial Clients
  • Abilities to convert leads into sales
  • Be able to handle Private Banking clients on estate planning needs and enquiries and apply various wealth planning solutions (e.g. legal/tax advisory, trust, insurance, immigration solutions) as planning tools to assist the client to achieve the wealth and succession planning
  • To achieve annual performance target (e.g. Net New Money/Revenue help bring to the bank) 
  • Helping Relationship Managers to understand benefits of estate planning structures and in the administrative and technical aspects of these structures.
  • Traveling with Relationship Managers is expected to meet with prospects and to service existing clients.
  • To assist Relationship Managers in building strong relationships with their clients
  • To work into building good relationship with intermediaries, e.g. insurance brokers, accountants, lawyers and other 3rd party professionals to deliver holistic solutions to Private Banking clients
  • Work closely with the Head of WP & FA as well as Regional / Country management to promote WP & FA capabilities.
  • Assist with the management of key external relationships e.g. with approved Insurance brokers, trustees, accounting firms, tax advisors, immigration specialists

  • Deliver financial results (personal sales target) and assist the WP team to achieve the team target. Be able to awareness and understand the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates and able to adapt and perform.

  • Be responsible and compliance to business risk framework and follow the process diligently

People & Talent

  • Work in collaboration with the WP team and other stakeholders of PvB (e.g. RMs, IAs, SPOKE and other support function of PvB)

Risk Management

  • Responsible to be aware and understand the main risks facing the Group/Pvb and the role the individual plays in managing them. 

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Dubai PvB’s Wealth Planning Team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.  
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications

  • Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications -University Graduate with a Legal qualification preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications/accreditations – as required by role remit and responsibility.
  • Professional Memberships – Relevant STEP or ICSA and valid Qualification/ Membership (preferred)
  • Bank training, i.e. mandatory & developmental
  • Demonstrable and relevant experience in the Fiduciary / Private Banking industry commensurate with this remit and level of responsibility.
  • Languages – fluency in business English other languages will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrable and relevant experience in the Private Banking industry commensurate with this remit and level of responsibility
  • Proven risk management capabilities
  • Firm in all business guidelines and compliance issues
  • Sound knowledge of financial markets and investment products
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills

Other relevant requirements: 

  • With at least 5 years of experience working in Trust and Estate advisory for high-net-worth sector.
  • Must have understandings of basic regulatory/tax regimes in GSAC and MENAP countries.
  • Travel is required.
